The reported launch downloads for Elden Ring Nightreign were 21.176 GB on PS4 and 21.156 GB on PS5. Bandai Namco lists 30 GB of storage for the PC version, but that is a requirement—not a measured download or installed size. These figures do not establish the game’s current post-update size.
Reported file size by platform
| Platform | Figure | What it represents | Version or date context |
|---|---|---|---|
| PS4 | 21.176 GB | Reported download size | Version 1.01, reported May 22, 2025 |
| PS5 | 21.156 GB | Reported download size | Version 1.001.000, reported May 22, 2025 |
| PC | 30 GB | Official storage requirement for both minimum and recommended specs | Bandai Namco Europe, 2025 |
| Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One | Not stated | Current download or installed size is not established | Not stated by the sources cited here |
| Steam | Not stated | Current download or installed size is not established | Not stated by the sources cited here |
The PlayStation figures were reported by Gameranx, citing PlayStation Game Size; they are dated launch-version download figures, not a current publisher size table. Gameranx’s May 22, 2025 report identifies the versions behind them. Bandai Namco’s PC specifications list 30 GB of storage for minimum and recommended configurations.
Download size, storage requirement and installed size are different
A download figure describes the data delivered for a particular build. A storage requirement tells you how much disk space the publisher says to have available; it does not say that the download itself is that large. The 21.176 GB and 21.156 GB PlayStation numbers therefore should not be compared directly with the PC 30 GB requirement as if all three measured the same thing.
Nor do the cited figures establish how much space a fully updated installation occupies today. Bandai Namco’s official game page lists updates released after launch, but the reviewed official information does not provide a current installed-size figure by platform.

What is known about Xbox and Steam sizes?
A current Xbox download or installed size, and a current Steam download or installed size, are not confirmed by the sources cited here. Gameranx noted in its May 2025 report that those listings did not appear updated at the time; its platform estimates were assumptions, not verified figures. For an exact current number, check the relevant console or Steam listing on the date you plan to install, and allow for possible differences between download data and disk space needed.

Bandai Namco lists PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC as platforms for Nightreign. Its Europe launch information says crossplay is limited by platform family: PS4 and PS5 players can play together, as can Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One players, but crossplay between PlayStation, Xbox and PC is unavailable. Bandai Namco Europe’s launch article also describes the game as a standalone adventure in the Elden Ring universe, playable solo or in a team of three.
