In Dragon’s Dogma 2, earn Discipline Points by defeating groups of overworld enemies and completing side quests. For a practical farming loop, clear camps with enemies you can defeat quickly; this is a guide recommendation, not a guaranteed point rate.
What Discipline Points are used for
Discipline Points, sometimes abbreviated DP or DCP in guides, are a vocation progression currency. You spend them on vocation skills and unlocks, and earning them contributes to the rank of your current vocation.

How to earn Discipline Points
Defeat groups of enemies
Fighting groups of overworld enemies is one of the core ways to earn Discipline. For farming, Game8 recommends targeting camps with easier enemies so you can finish encounters quickly. Treat that as a practical route-planning tip rather than a measured or guaranteed rate: published guides do not establish a fixed number of points per enemy or a verified earning formula. Game8’s Discipline Points guide describes the camp-clearing approach.
Complete side quests
Side quests also award Discipline, so include them when they fit your route. A quest that takes you through enemy encounters may let you make progress on both routes at once, although the available sources do not quantify which activity yields more points per minute. PC Gamer’s guide likewise identifies quests and kills as ways to earn Discipline.

How to make farming more practical
- Choose enemy camps you can clear quickly rather than spending time on difficult fights solely for Discipline.
- Look for side quests that can be completed along the way, instead of making a separate trip for every activity.
- Judge a route by how quickly you can defeat its enemies and complete its quest objectives; no verified source provides comparable point yields or a guaranteed best location.
Spend Discipline and change vocations
Use earned points for vocation skills and unlocks, and check the current vocation’s rank as you progress. When you want to try another playstyle, change vocations at a vocation guild hall. Capcom’s manual describes the vocation system and guild-hall changes; the sources cited here do not establish that changing vocation requires a separate Discipline purchase.
