The exact 20 best EFL Championship strikers in EA SPORTS FC 24 cannot be reliably ranked from the available launch-era evidence. The EFL published its ratings preview on 13 September 2023, before the game’s worldwide launch on 29 September, but the accessible article does not preserve its player list. Leeds United did publish individual figures: Patrick Bamford was rated 75 overall and Joel Piroe 74. Those club ratings do not establish a league-wide top 20, including for Leicester City or Coventry City.
Why a definitive top-20 list needs a dated launch snapshot
The EFL’s 13 September 2023 Championship ratings article was published ahead of FC 24’s worldwide launch on 29 September 2023. The accessible page extraction preserves the heading and date, but not the player list. It therefore cannot verify a complete ranking or the ratings of individual Leicester and Coventry strikers.

FC 24 databases can also show upgraded Ultimate Team cards alongside original cards. FUTWIZ’s Championship page 1 and page 2 display positions, overall ratings and attributes, but their current results include upgraded cards. A later special card is not evidence of a player’s launch rating; a defensible launch ranking requires filtering to original/base versions and a dated snapshot.
What Leeds United’s published ratings establish
Leeds United’s own 13 September 2023 FC 24 ratings announcement gives two relevant figures: Patrick Bamford was rated 75 overall, while Joel Piroe was rated 74. Bamford shared the club’s highest rating with Daniel James and goalkeeper Illan Meslier. These are club-reported ratings, not proof of where either striker ranks across the Championship.

What “best striker” should mean in FC 24
Overall rating is one comparison, not a complete measure of attacking usefulness. FC 24 also lists attributes including pace and shooting, and a player with a lower overall can be quicker or stronger in front of goal. A fair top-20 would need to state which positions count as strikers—such as primary-listed ST or CF, or a clearly defined broader group—and rank one consistent card version by overall rating before using pace and shooting as context. Equal overall ratings should be treated as ties rather than forced into a unique order.
EA’s official FC 24 top-player ratings page covers leading players broadly; it does not provide the Championship striker top 20. Without the dated launch/base-card list and an explicit position rule, publishing 20 names and ordering them as confirmed launch ratings would overstate what the cited sources show.

FC 24 ratings are historical, not current-game ratings
EA announced FC 24’s worldwide launch for 29 September 2023. The figures above refer to that game’s 2023 ratings context; they should not be read as current ratings in a later EA SPORTS FC release. The EFL article’s pre-launch date also explains why its framing was prospective at publication.
