ZERO, launched on July 30, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. The expansion adds 33 playable characters, four Episode Battles, four stages and a solo character-training mode. Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions are planned for 2027 in Bandai Namco Europe’s schedule.
When did the Sparking! ZERO DLC come out?
The Dragon Ball Official Site first announced Super Limit-Breaking NEO for summer 2026. Bandai Namco confirmed the specific date on July 23, then announced the expansion’s availability on July 30 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. The summer window was therefore superseded by the July 30 launch date. Bandai Namco’s date announcement and launch notice give the platform details.
Switch timing differs by regional announcement. Bandai Namco America said Switch and Switch 2 versions would follow later; Bandai Namco Europe specified 2027. That is the stated European schedule, not a confirmed worldwide date. Check the local platform listing for current availability.

How does Limit Breaker Journey work?
Limit Breaker Journey is a solo mode built around developing a fighter you choose. You travel between destinations on a map, fight and take part in events, then allocate points to your character’s stats and equip Battle Arts. That gives the mode a progression loop rather than simply offering a fixed sequence of matches.
Movement involves a stamina trade-off: traveling uses stamina and can reduce the health your character starts with in a battle. The producer’s overview frames this as a risk-and-reward choice about how far to push a journey before fighting. Characters trained in the mode can be taken into offline and selected online battles, according to the Dragon Ball Official Site’s release-day overview.

Which features are free, and which require the DLC?
Not every feature announced alongside the expansion is part of the paid DLC. Bandai Namco separately described a free update that adds Sparking! Boost, Chain Blast and three variations of existing stages. These are update features, not DLC-exclusive additions.
- Sparking! Boost: Spend Skill Stock for a major attack boost while in Sparking! mode. When the effect ends, stats are temporarily reduced.
- Chain Blast: After launching an opponent, switch to a reserve ally and continue the sequence with a Blast attack.
The Bandai Namco feature breakdown distinguishes these free-update additions from the expansion’s DLC content.

What do you need to play it?
Super Limit-Breaking NEO is downloadable content for DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO, so you need the base game on a compatible platform. The confirmed July 30 launch platforms were PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. No current official US retail listing was published for local store availability, DLC pricing or storefront terms; check the store for your platform before purchasing. If you need the base game, Bandai Namco’s official store listing is for the PS5 Standard Edition of the base game, not the DLC.
