The official Assassin’s Creed X account answered Elon Musk’s criticism of Hasan Piker with a pointed reference to Musk’s Path of Exile 2 account. The comeback was called a “ratio” in coverage of the exchange, though no verified engagement figures are available here.
What did the Assassin’s Creed account say to Elon Musk?
On March 25, 2025, Musk replied to a post criticizing Ubisoft for paying gaming commentator Hasan Piker to promote Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Musk called Piker “a fraud,” then said “Sell-out” would be more accurate and described the game as “terrible.” The official Assassin’s Creed account responded: “Is that what the guy playing your Path of Exile 2 account told you?” The exchange was reported the following day by The Daily Dot and Know Your Meme.
Why did the reply mention Path of Exile 2?
The line turned Musk’s accusation that Piker was a paid sellout back on Musk by invoking a controversy over who played Musk’s Path of Exile 2 account. That dispute supplied the punchline: the account’s reply suggested Musk might not personally be the player behind his account.
That is the joke’s context, not proof of who played the account. The two reports describe the reference, but they do not independently establish that another person played it.

What does “ratioed” mean here?
On X, “ratioed” commonly describes a post that attracts more replies than likes or reposts, or otherwise draws a conspicuously negative response. Coverage used the term for the Assassin’s Creed account’s comeback. The reports cited here do not provide independently verified post metrics, so “ratioed” should be read as a description of the exchange’s reception, not as a measured engagement comparison.

The argument centered on Piker’s paid promotion of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Ubisoft’s game had been released on March 20, 2025, according to The Daily Dot’s March 26 report. Musk objected to Piker promoting it for money; the franchise’s account answered by turning attention to the question of who was playing Musk’s game account.
