Where to get Beloved Stardust
- Take the Hole-Laden Necklace to the Finger Ruins of Rhia.
- Use it to ring the first bell. Game8 identifies this as the hanging bell at the ruins.
- Return to Count Ymir. He gives you Beloved Stardust as a reward; it is not described as a pickup at the bell itself. Game8’s guide describes the bell step and reward, and Eldenpedia’s item reference identifies Ymir as the source.
This route covers the first-bell reward step. It does not establish every later quest step or whether other quest conditions can prevent the reward.
What Beloved Stardust does
The item description says Beloved Stardust shortens casting time for sorceries and incantations “by the utmost,” while increasing damage taken. That makes the casting benefit relevant to both Intelligence-focused sorcerers and Faith-focused incantation users. The defensive cost matters in either case: faster casts do not make the wearer more durable.
Secondary item references quantify the tradeoff differently. Eldenpedia reports a 30% increase in damage taken, while Fandom describes the penalty as a 30% reduction to all negations and also lists +99 virtual Dexterity. These are secondary descriptions of the effect, not independently tested mechanics; the item’s own description communicates the substantial defensive downside without giving those figures.

Is Beloved Stardust good for an INT or Faith build?
It can suit either, because its stated casting benefit covers both spell categories. The useful question is whether faster casting is worth the defensive cost for your character and the encounter you are facing. If taking more damage makes it harder to survive or maintain your casting rhythm, the speed benefit may not be worthwhile. The available item references do not establish that it is the best talisman for every Intelligence or Faith build, nor do they provide a numerical comparison with other talismans.

The item’s lore attributes this line to Count Ymir: “One need only envision the romance of the stars above with adoration for stardust in one’s heart to become a great sorcerer. Do so, and you will know love.” It is in-game dialogue and lore, not a real-world expert recommendation.
