The latest official Oblivion Remastered update listed by Bethesda is Patch 1.1 for Nintendo Switch 2, dated September 17, 2026. It is a Switch 2 patch—not a universal update for PlayStation, Xbox, or PC. Bethesda’s previous major all-platform update was Update 1.2, released July 16, 2025.
What is the latest Oblivion Remastered update?
Bethesda’s game page lists Patch 1.1 for Nintendo Switch 2, released September 17, 2026, as its newest update news item. The platform distinction matters: the listing does not say that Patch 1.1 applies to other versions.
For PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, check the relevant platform’s update listing for its current patch status. Bethesda’s last major update explicitly described as rolling out across all platforms was Update 1.2 on July 16, 2025.
What did the latest patch fix?
Switch 2 Patch 1.1 addresses crashes and gameplay problems in several situations. Bethesda’s patch notes list fixes involving:
#1 Best Overall
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered modernises the 2006 Game of the Year with all new stunning visuals and refined gameplay.
- Crashes at enchanting and spell-making altars, while launching or navigating the map, and with the third-person camera.
- Loading a Fighters Guild quest, fast-travelling after leaving Castle Bravil, and idling in the Kvatch Oblivion realm.
- Bound spells, weapons, and armor interacting incorrectly with the Wait action.
- Quest behavior, the underwater breath bar depleting during loading screens, and a missing statue animation.
These are the fixes Bethesda attributes to the Switch 2 release; the notes should not be read as a changelog for other platforms.
What changed in the earlier all-platform Update 1.2?
Update 1.2, dated July 16, 2025, rolled out to all platforms and added six player-and-enemy combat-damage settings: Novice, Apprentice, Adept, Journeyman, Expert, and Master. Bethesda also bundled fixes for quests, interface issues, crashes, performance, gameplay, and system behavior in its Update 1.2 notes.
