Find it in a chest in Night’s Sacred Ground, Nokron, after defeating Starscourge Radahn and accepting Ranni’s service. Give it to Ranni at Ranni’s Rise to receive the Carian Inverted Statue.
Where to find the Fingerslayer Blade
- Defeat Starscourge Radahn. His defeat causes a falling star to open the route into Nokron, Eternal City. Follow the crater route to enter the underground city. PC Gamer’s Ranni quest walkthrough describes this route.
- Reach Night’s Sacred Ground. Progress through Nokron to the area named Night’s Sacred Ground, following the route through the Silver Tear-infested path.
- Open the chest. The Fingerslayer Blade is inside a chest at the end of that path, beneath a large figure in the area. The item entries from Elden Ring Wiki (Fextralife) and Gamer Guides place it there.
If the chest will not open
Check whether you have accepted Ranni’s service at Ranni’s Rise. The Elden Ring Wiki item entry reports that the chest requires this quest step; finding Night’s Sacred Ground alone is not enough.
What to do with the Fingerslayer Blade
Return to Ranni at Ranni’s Rise and give her the blade. She rewards you with the Carian Inverted Statue, which lets you progress through Carian Study Hall toward Liurnia’s Divine Tower. The blade itself cannot be wielded.
What the item description says about its origin
The in-game description calls the Fingerslayer Blade “the hidden treasure of the Eternal City of Nokron” and says it was “born of a corpse.” It also describes the blade as proof of Nokron’s high treason and says it is said to be able to harm the Greater Will and its vassals. The description does not identify the corpse or explain the historical act of treason, so proposed identities or fuller accounts of its origin remain speculation. The wording is transcribed in the Elden Ring Wiki item entry.
