If Fellowship is lagging on PC, first work out whether you are seeing network delay or a local performance hitch. High ping, delayed actions, rubber-banding, packet loss, and disconnects point toward the connection or game service; low frame rates and brief visual stutters point toward the PC’s rendering performance. Compare another online game, check whether party members have the same problem, and test a wired connection if you currently use Wi-Fi. These checks narrow the cause, but none guarantees a fix.
Identify what “lag” looks like
“Lag” can describe different problems, and the right troubleshooting path depends on the symptom. Steam describes network lag as high latency interfering with gameplay; higher latency makes lag more likely, but that general guidance does not establish a Fellowship-specific ping cutoff. Steam’s multiplayer lag guidance does not diagnose an individual connection.
- Network delay: actions take noticeably longer to register, your character or other players jump or rubber-band, or the game reports high ping or packet loss.
- Connection interruption: you are disconnected or unable to remain in a multiplayer session.
- Local performance trouble: the image stutters, frame rate drops, or motion looks uneven without clear signs of delayed or interrupted network play.
These symptoms can overlap. Note exactly what happens and when, including any ping or packet-loss reading Fellowship displays, rather than treating every hitch as a network problem.
Check whether the problem is Fellowship-specific
Compare with another online game
Play another online game under similar conditions. If it also has delayed actions or interruptions, your connection or its route to online services becomes a more plausible cause. If other games behave normally but Fellowship does not, a Fellowship-specific service issue or route is possible. Neither result proves the cause on its own.

Ask whether party members are affected
Check whether friends in your party experience the issue at the same time. A shared problem can point toward a service-side issue; a problem limited to your PC or connection can point toward a local cause. This comparison is useful evidence, not a definitive server test.
Check current official notices
Fellowship did have documented server-related problems during its October 2025 launch period. On October 18–19, 2025, developer Arc_Rad said the team was working on matchmaking, the friends list, chat, and high ping. On October 18, developer Hamish said temporary concurrent-user caps had been implemented and that in-game stability had improved. Those posts document the situation and response at that time; they do not show server conditions in October 2026. Test the connection you play on
Compare Wi-Fi with Ethernet
If the PC is on Wi-Fi, try one session connected directly to the router with Ethernet. This is a diagnostic comparison: if play improves, the wireless connection may be contributing. Fellowship’s Steam listing requires broadband internet, but it does not require Ethernet, and a cable will not fix a distant or overloaded server, an ISP routing issue, or a service fault. Pause competing activity
If someone else or another device is using the connection heavily, pause large downloads or other bandwidth-intensive activity and retest. A change in symptoms can help isolate competition for the connection, but it is not proof of a particular fault.

Restart and retest
- Exit Fellowship and reopen it, then check whether the same symptoms return.
- Restart your router, allow it to reconnect, and try another session.
- Change only one condition at a time—such as switching from Wi-Fi to Ethernet—so you can tell whether the comparison made a difference.
These are basic troubleshooting comparisons, not fixes specifically confirmed by Fellowship’s developers. The game’s Steam minimum and recommended requirements both list broadband internet; the listing does not provide a Fellowship-specific network speed, latency target, or guaranteed connection fix.

Fellowship’s Steam listing specifies Windows 10 64-bit, 16 GB RAM, and GTX 1650 or Radeon RX 570 graphics as minimum requirements. It also lists 16 GB RAM and broadband internet among the recommended requirements. These are published system requirements, not a benchmark or diagnosis of your PC. If the main symptom is low FPS or visual stuttering rather than delayed actions or rubber-banding, compare your PC with the listing’s requirements before focusing on network changes. When to contact Fellowship support
If Fellowship remains affected while other online activity works, or if party members report a simultaneous problem, check current official notices and contact support if the issue continues. Steam lists Arc Games customer support as an official support provider. Arc Games support for Fellowship via Steam
Include the time and date, your region, ISP, a concise description of the symptoms, and any in-game ping or packet-loss reading available. Mention whether other online games are affected, whether party members saw the same issue, and whether Ethernet changed anything. This gives support useful diagnostic context without assuming the cause.
