If an Amigo does not appear after you call it in Far Cry 6, first confirm that it is unlocked and selected in the Amigo tab. If you summoned it while driving, get out and walk around or start a side activity or quest; Ubisoft Support described that as a possible trigger in one reported case, not a fix guaranteed to work for everyone. The available sources do not establish a universal cause or a confirmed cross-platform bug.
Check that the Amigo is unlocked and selected
- Open the in-game Amigo tab.
- Check that the companion you want is unlocked and selected.
- If you expect an unlocked companion or other content to be available but cannot find it, check that the content is installed on your platform.
Ubisoft Help says unlocked content becomes available after completing The Guerrilla mission, and says unlocked or located Amigos can be found in the Amigo tab. Its guidance on missing content recommends checking installation; it does not say reinstalling the game fixes this particular summon problem. If you summoned while driving, try again on foot
Leave the vehicle and walk around, or begin a side activity or quest. In a reply to one player’s support report, Ubisoft Support representative Ubi-Dastan said an Amigo summoned while driving might not appear until the player does one of those things. This is a case-specific report, not a guaranteed explanation for every missing Amigo: Ubisoft Support’s response in the Far Cry 6 Steam forum.
PC-only checks suggested by Ubisoft Support
If you play on PC and the basic checks do not help, Ubisoft Support suggested these steps in response to a PC player’s report:

- Employ an arsenal of resolver weapons, backpacks, and vehicles to take down Castillo’s ruthless regime.
- Close Ubisoft Connect using Task Manager, then clear its cache using the current official instructions for the app.
- If you play through Steam, clear Steam’s download cache. This step is specific to Steam and does not apply to console players.
- Verify Far Cry 6’s game files through Steam.
These were suggestions for a reported PC case, not confirmed fixes for all players or platforms. The support response warns that clearing caches may require signing in again, so have your account sign-in details available. See the support reply for context.
Check whether this is a summon problem or an accessibility control
Ubisoft documents a “Direct Amigos at Gaze” command for players using Tobii eye-tracking support. That is an accessibility control option; its documentation does not identify it as a general repair for Amigos failing to appear. Details are in Ubisoft’s Far Cry 6 accessibility overview.

What to send Ubisoft Support if the Amigo is still missing
The available sources do not identify a universal cause or remedy. When contacting Ubisoft Support, include details that help distinguish an unlock issue from a summon or platform issue:
- Your platform and game version.
- Whether the Amigo appears as selectable in the Amigo tab.
- Whether the problem occurs while driving, on foot, or both.
- Whether it affects one Amigo or every Amigo you have tried.
- The troubleshooting steps you have already taken.
Players have described similar symptoms as Amigos not spawning or being impossible to summon, but those community posts do not establish how widespread the problem is or diagnose its cause: “Amigos won’t spawn” and “Can’t summon amigos”.
