If FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE crashes on Xbox Series X or Series S, start with Square Enix’s power-cycle procedure, then check for Xbox system updates and clear airflow around the console. If the crash continues, reinstall the game and its add-ons; contact Square Enix support if those steps do not help. These are general Xbox crash steps from the publisher, not confirmation of a known INTERGRADE-specific bug.
1. Power-cycle the Xbox, then relaunch the game
Square Enix’s general Xbox crash guidance recommends this sequence:
- While the Xbox is on, hold the console’s front power button for 10 seconds.
- Unplug the console’s power cable and wait 10 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cable, turn the console on, and start FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE again.
Follow the order and timing in Square Enix’s Xbox crash support article. It does not identify a specific cause or promise that this will resolve every crash.
2. Check Xbox updates and console airflow
If the game still crashes, install any available Xbox system updates and make sure the console has open airflow. Square Enix includes both checks in its general troubleshooting advice. A crash by itself does not establish whether the cause is the game, console software, installation data, or ventilation.

3. Reinstall the game and its add-ons if the crash continues
Square Enix’s next suggested step is to uninstall the game and its add-ons from My games & apps, then reinstall. Its support article describes reinstalling by inserting the disc. That instruction may not apply to every installation: the Xbox Series X|S edition also launched digitally, so use the reinstall route for your own edition rather than assuming you have a disc.
INTERGRADE includes the main FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE story and the Yuffie-led FF7R EPISODE INTERmission. Square Enix lists the Xbox Series X|S release date as January 22, 2026, and announced Xbox Play Anywhere support. See the release announcement and the official product page.

4. Contact Square Enix if it still crashes
If the power cycle, updates, airflow check, and reinstall do not help, contact Square Enix support. To make the problem easier to describe, include when the crash happens, which troubleshooting steps you tried, and any error code shown on screen.
