Nacon’s support listing showed an open PS5 free-roam matchmaking desynchronization report dated August 29, 2026, so a game-side issue is possible—but that player-submitted report does not identify the cause of every player’s lag.
Identify what kind of lag you are seeing
“Lag” can describe several different problems. Pin down the symptom before changing network settings; the symptoms below can have different causes, and no single one establishes the cause by itself.
- Delayed inputs: your commands seem to take time to affect the game.
- Rubber-banding or teleporting cars: vehicles jump between positions or appear out of sync with other players.
- Matchmaking or lobby trouble: you cannot reliably join or remain in a multiplayer session.
- Brief disconnections: the game drops you from a session.
- Visual stutter or frame drops: the image itself jerks or slows, even if the network session remains connected.
Network delay and visual frame-rate drops are not the same symptom. Nacon’s 2024 Patch #2 notes discussed both network upgrades and fewer PS5 frame drops in Performance mode, which is a reason to describe what you actually see rather than reporting only “lag.” Nacon’s official news index lists its update history.
Check for a service-side problem first
Check PlayStation Network service status and Solar Crown’s MyNacon support and known-issues listing before changing router settings. An outage, maintenance window, or game-side matchmaking problem will not be fixed by changing your home Wi-Fi.

At the time of Nacon’s listing, an open critical issue was titled “Severe Free Roam Matchmaking Desync (One-Way Player Invisibility)” and dated August 29, 2026. It is a user-submitted report about a particular free-roam desynchronization symptom—not confirmation that every PS5 multiplayer lag complaint has the same cause. Nacon’s official news index also lists Season 7 Patch 1, published September 4, 2026, but that listing does not establish that the patch resolved the reported desynchronization.
Run a basic PS5 connection check
- Test the console connection: on PS5, open Settings > Network > Connection Status > Test Internet Connection. Note whether the console reports a connection problem. The test helps check the console’s connection; it does not diagnose Solar Crown’s servers or matchmaking.
- Restart the PS5: restart the console, then try the same multiplayer activity again.
- Compare Wi-Fi and Ethernet if practical: if you use Wi-Fi, try a session closer to the router or reduce obstructions. If possible, connect the PS5 directly to the router with Ethernet and repeat the same activity.
- Restart the router if connection trouble persists: this is a reasonable basic check when connection errors affect your broader online use, not a guaranteed Solar Crown fix.
PlayStation’s general guidance for certain PS5 server-connection errors recommends checking service status, restarting the console, trying a wired connection, improving Wi-Fi proximity or reducing obstructions, and restarting the router. These are diagnostic steps, not a game-specific promise that lag will stop. PlayStation’s PS5 server-connection guidance covers those checks.

Compare results to narrow down the cause
Change one condition at a time and compare like with like—for example, try the same mode on Wi-Fi and then Ethernet, or Solar Crown and another online game. These comparisons can help describe the problem, but they do not prove its cause.

Report a persistent Solar Crown-only problem
If other online services work but Solar Crown continues to desynchronize, disconnect, or delay inputs, check the current MyNacon known-issues listing and submit a report through Nacon’s Solar Crown support page. Nacon’s FAQ directs platform or technical problems such as network latency to technical support, while in-game environment issues can be checked or reported through the known-issues system. Its Solar Crown support FAQ explains the distinction.

Include the exact symptom, the multiplayer mode or activity, when it happens, whether other online games work, and whether Ethernet changes the result. These details help support staff understand what you observed without assuming that a listed issue is necessarily the cause.
Solar Crown has received historical updates addressing login errors, lobby and race disconnections, server or network problems, and network stability. Those patch notes show that game-side networking problems have been addressed before; they do not establish the current status of your session or confirm that a particular issue is fixed.
