Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 was officially titled LAWLESS, a heist-themed Battle Royale season built around new locations, Black Markets, vaults, and loot-focused objectives. It ended May 2, 2025, Eastern Time, so its Battle Pass, quests, and shop offers are no longer available as current content. This retrospective guide covers what Epic announced for the season, including items planned for later updates.
What changed in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2?
LAWLESS shifted the Battle Royale island toward heists and encounters with crime boss Fletcher Kane. Players could search for Bars and match-bound Dill Bits, spend currency at Black Markets, and pursue rewards from armored transports and a vault-bearing train. Epic’s official season overview and its February 21, 2025 PlayStation Blog account describe the seasonal features.
What new locations did LAWLESS add?
Epic highlighted four locations, each with a different role in the season’s crime-and-heist theme:
- Crime City: An urban crime-themed area featuring the Hostile Hotel, Wise Guys Bookstore, and Launder Mat.
- Outlaw Oasis: A luxury spa and resort setting.
- Shiny Shafts: Fletcher Kane’s mining operation and a contested place to find Bars.
- Lonewolf Lair: Fletcher Kane’s heavily secured mansion hideout.
How did Gold Rush, Dill Bits, and Black Markets work?
Gold Rush
Gold-infused water and Gold Veins offered a way to gain Gold Rush. The effect increased movement speed, Pickaxe swing speed, and Pickaxe damage to structures.

Dill Bits and Black Markets
Dill Bits were a second currency typically found in vaults; they did not carry over between matches. Epic described three Black Markets where players could spend Bars and Dill Bits on high-rarity items and Boons, making currency gathering part of the season’s loot loop.
Armored transports and the train vault
Fletcher Kane’s armored transports and the Armored Train offered heist-style objectives. To reach the train’s vault car, players had to destroy its turrets and use Thermite to open the vault.

- · V-Bucks are in-game currency that can be spent in Fortnite Battle Royale, Creative, and Save the World modes. In Battle Royale and Creative you can purchase new customization items like New Outfits, Gliders, Pickaxes, Emotes, and Wraps! In Save the World, you can purchase X-Ray Llamas that contain weapon and trap schematics, plus new Heroes, and more!
Boons
Epic named five Boons: Vulture, Gold Rush, Adrenaline Rush, Gold Ammo, and Greed. Players could find them at Black Markets or in Rare Chests. A Boon persisted after elimination if its holder was rebooted in the same match.
What weapons and items were in the season?
The launch announcements listed the following weapons and utility items. They do not provide a numerical weapon-balance table, so specific damage, fire-rate, or other balance figures should not be inferred from the season overview.

- Rewards from bosses: Defeating Fletcher Kane awarded his Double Down Pistol and the Unstoppable Medallion. Shogun X’s reward was the Super Shield Medallion.
Items announced for later in the season
Epic said the Rocket Drill, Outlaw Shotgun, and dual-wield Pump & Dump were planned for later seasonal updates, rather than listing them as all available at launch. The Pump & Dump occupied one weapon slot.
Who was in the LAWLESS Battle Pass?
Epic listed Cassidy Quinn, Joss, Fletcher Kane, Valentina, Big Dill, Keisha Cross, and Sub-Zero (MK3) among the Battle Pass outfits. Outlaw Midas was set to unlock through Battle Pass quests in March. At the time, Epic priced the premium pass at 1,000 V-Bucks or included it with Fortnite Crew. Progression ended with the season on May 2, 2025, Eastern Time.

What crossover content was available?
Cowboy Bebop quests and cosmetics were announced for March. Epic updated its season article on February 26, 2025, to say the quests would go live February 27 at 9 AM ET and that Spike Spiegel and Faye Valentine outfits were already in the Shop. Those dates and offers are historical, not a current availability notice.
