What is Forgive Me Father?
Developed by Byte Barrel and published by Fulqrum Publishing, Forgive Me Father reached full release on Steam on April 7, 2022. The store describes it as a retro FPS inspired by H. P. Lovecraft, set in a world rendered with hand-drawn comic-book visuals. Its unusual look combines 2D opponents with a 3D environment. Steam’s game listing also presents the game as single-player.

Is Forgive Me Father worth buying?
It is a good fit if you want a single-player shooter with a distinctive comic-book look, Lovecraftian atmosphere, and challenging arena combat. The separate character development trees and madness mechanic add variety to the progression.
