There is no single confirmed cause or guaranteed fix for Granblue Fantasy: Relink crashes on PC. Start by checking that your Windows PC meets the game’s Steam requirements, then try reversible steps: restart Steam and the PC, reduce background load, update graphics software, and verify the game files. The right diagnosis depends on when the crash happens, any error message, and your hardware and drivers.
Check whether your PC meets the game’s requirements
Steam lists these Windows PC specifications for Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Compare your CPU, graphics card and its VRAM, memory, Windows version, and available storage—not just the graphics card.

These are Steam’s listed requirements and targets, not a guarantee that the game will run without problems on a system that meets them. Cygames says performance can vary by device even when the requirements are met, and warns that the game may not run properly with less than 6 GB of GPU VRAM. To view your hardware in Steam, open Help → System Information. If your PC has both integrated graphics and a separate NVIDIA GPU, check that the game is using the high-performance card rather than the integrated one. Also confirm that at least 90 GB of storage is available; Steam recommends an SSD, but an SSD is not established as a crash fix.

Try the low-risk fixes first
- Restart the PC and Steam. Close the game, exit Steam, restart Windows, and reopen Steam before trying again.
- Reduce load and graphics demands. Close unnecessary background applications and processes, then lower or adjust the game’s graphics settings. These are troubleshooting measures, not guaranteed repairs.
- Update the graphics driver and DirectX. Check the latest driver from your GPU manufacturer and make sure DirectX is up to date. On a hybrid system with NVIDIA graphics, Cygames’ guide describes selecting the high-performance NVIDIA processor in NVIDIA Control Panel if the integrated GPU is being used.
- Verify the installation in Steam. Open Library, right-click Granblue Fantasy: Relink, choose Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files, and let Steam finish checking before launching again. This can help if game files are missing or corrupted.
Use administrator launch and antivirus changes cautiously
If the simpler steps do not help, Cygames suggests trying the Steam client as administrator. This is a troubleshooting option, not a general requirement: use it as a diagnostic step rather than changing permissions indiscriminately.

- It crashes during online activity: Note whether the game closes to desktop or instead disconnects. Cygames says network conditions can affect performance, but that does not establish a network problem as the cause of a local crash.
