If Genshin Impact shows Adventure Rank 25 and your rank is not increasing, complete the Adventure Rank Ascension 1 quest. Adventure EXP earned while capped is saved and applied automatically after you finish the quest successfully.
Why Adventure Rank stops at 25
Genshin Impact pauses rank progression at certain milestones until you complete the corresponding Ascension Quest. HoYoverse says the quest raises your World Level and lets Adventure Rank progression continue. EXP earned during the cap is stored rather than lost. For the AR25 milestone, community guidance identifies the quest as Adventure Rank Ascension 1, which advances the world to World Level 2. Check the quest name and objective shown in your own game, as the current official support article discusses the cap mechanic generally rather than naming the AR25 quest. How to complete Adventure Rank Ascension 1
- Open the Quest Menu. Look for Adventure Rank Ascension 1 among your quests.
- Use an in-game prompt if you cannot find it. Open the Adventure EXP and Adventure Rank screen and follow its Ascension Quest prompt. You can also check the Adventurer Handbook’s Guide section for an Ascension Quest prompt. HoYoverse documented these navigation options in its Version 4.1 Update Details; the exact current labels may vary by screen or version.
- Follow the active objectives. Start the quest and complete the Ascension challenge as directed by the game. Follow the live objective text rather than relying on an assumed route or enemy lineup.
- Confirm the quest succeeds. Once it is complete, the cap clears and your stored Adventure EXP is applied automatically. Your resulting rank depends on how much EXP you accumulated, so the number of ranks gained can vary.
If the Ascension Quest is not visible
First check both the Quest Menu and the two in-game prompts above; either can lead you to the Ascension Quest. If the quest still does not appear, the sources cited here do not establish a specific recovery procedure for a missing AR25 quest. Verify the quest and rank information in-game, then consult HoYoverse support if the expected prompt remains unavailable.
