Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2, branded LAWLESS!, added four named points of interest (POIs) along the island’s west coast: Lonewolf Lair, Shiny Shafts, Outlaw Oasis, and Crime City. From north to south, they appeared in that order. This is a historical guide to the season’s launch map in 2025, not a guide to Fortnite’s current island.
Where were the four new POIs?
GameSpot’s February 20, 2025 launch-season map guide places the new locations along the west coast, mainly across its central stretch, in this north-to-south order:
- Lonewolf Lair
- Shiny Shafts
- Outlaw Oasis
- Crime City
Epic’s season overview describes what set each location apart:
- Lonewolf Lair: Fletcher Kane’s guarded mansion hideout, where challengers to his expanding empire could expect a fight.
- Shiny Shafts: Kane’s mining operation, contested above and below ground. Epic also tied the location to Gold Veins and the Gold Rush Boon.
- Outlaw Oasis: A high-end spa and resort where the season’s burglars could relax.
- Crime City: An urban district built around crooked characters and the season’s criminal theme. Its named sublocations included Hostile Hotel, Wise Guys Bookstore, and the Launder Mat.
Which locations returned on the launch map?
GameSpot’s launch-season guide also listed these returning named locations:

How did LAWLESS! change the map’s gameplay?
The season framed the island as a place to pull off heists. Epic described opportunities to rob banks, take over armored transports, or stop and raid an armored train. The train’s vault car required Thermite; Epic also highlighted the Plasma Burst Laser and, later in the season, the Rocket Drill as vault-busting tools.
Three Black Markets around the map offered high-rarity items and Boons in exchange for Bars or Dill Bits. Epic named five Boons: Vulture, Gold Rush, Adrenaline Rush, Gold Ammo, and Greed. These details describe LAWLESS! gameplay, not current Fortnite mechanics.
