Yes—the Mariah Carey Fortnite leak was real. Epic Games confirmed her Winterfest 2024 appearance on December 20, 2024, and included her outfits in the Item Shop during the event. Winterfest ended on January 7, 2025, at 9 AM ET, so that offer is historical, not a current Shop listing.
What Epic confirmed about Mariah Carey in Fortnite
Epic’s December 20, 2024 Winterfest announcement confirmed Mariah Carey’s appearance in Fortnite Battle Royale. Epic described her being freed from an ice block and appearing on the island; players could dance with her to receive a Holiday Present gameplay item.
The announcement also placed Mariah Carey outfits in the Shop lineup during Winterfest. The event, including the Cabin presents, was available through January 7, 2025, at 9 AM ET.
What was in the Mariah Carey Bundle
Epic announced a bundle featuring two outfits: Santa Suit Mariah and a gold Mariah Carey Outfit inspired by the cover of The Emancipation of Mimi. Santa Suit Mariah was inspired by Merry Christmas. Epic said both outfits had LEGO Styles.

Epic also said “All I Want For Christmas Is You” would be available as a Jam Track. The announcement’s note that Winterfest present contents were not exclusive and could become purchasable later applied to items in presents; it should not be read as a promise that every Mariah Carey cosmetic would return.
Can you still get the Mariah Carey skin?
The Shop offer described in Epic’s announcement was part of Winterfest 2024, which ended January 7, 2025. The announcement does not establish that the Mariah Carey outfits are currently available or say when they might return. Check Fortnite’s in-game Shop for current availability rather than relying on the old leak or event announcement.

Can a Fortnite gift card unlock the outfit?
No. A gift card can fund Fortnite purchases, but it does not grant a specific outfit, and it cannot guarantee access to a cosmetic that is not currently offered. Epic says V-Bucks can be used to buy Outfits and that V-Bucks cards redeem to V-Bucks for Fortnite at its V-Bucks card page.
Epic announced Fortnite gift cards on June 4, 2025, as another way to buy V-Bucks, Fortnite Crew, Packs, and other Epic purchases. That announcement listed retail denominations of $15, $30, $50, or $100 USD, or a custom amount from $15 to $150 USD, and described a rollout to regions over time. Those are the denominations and rollout in the announcement, not confirmation of current stock or availability at a particular retailer. Before buying, check the card type, your region, platform and account restrictions, and the retailer’s current listing. Epic notes that V-Bucks are account-bound and that V-Bucks on Nintendo devices may be limited to Nintendo devices; consult Epic’s current card terms for your region and platform.
