SteamCharts recorded FragPunk at 632.59 average concurrent players over the 30 days shown in its October 7, 2026 snapshot, compared with 65,368.15 for Marvel Rivals. Those figures measure Steam concurrency—not total players, sales, or NetEase’s financial return—so they do not establish that FragPunk was a “dream come true” for its publisher.
What are FragPunk’s latest Steam numbers?
In SteamCharts’ October 7, 2026 snapshot, FragPunk averaged 632.59 concurrent Steam players over the latest 30-day window shown. Its September 2026 average was 680.82. SteamCharts listed a 24-hour peak of 722 and an all-time Steam peak of 113,243. SteamCharts’ FragPunk chart reports concurrent-player figures, not unique players or a total across platforms.

How does FragPunk compare with Marvel Rivals?
The two games were at very different scales on Steam in the same SteamCharts snapshot. Marvel Rivals’ 30-day average was 65,368.15 concurrent players, and its September 2026 average was 67,794.57. Its listed 24-hour peak was 69,893, with an all-time Steam peak of 642,333. SteamCharts’ Marvel Rivals chart uses the same kind of concurrent-player measure.

On the latest 30-day averages, Marvel Rivals had roughly 103 times FragPunk’s Steam concurrency. That is a comparison of concurrent Steam activity in the recorded windows; it is not a comparison of unique accounts, lifetime sales, or all-platform audiences.

FragPunk’s launch was a real high point
FragPunk released worldwide on PC on March 6, 2025, as a free-to-play 5v5 hero shooter. Its Shard Card system was a distinctive launch mechanic; NetEase described the first season as arriving with 13 Lancers and more than 150 cards. In its Q1 2025 investor presentation, published in May 2025, NetEase reported that the game exceeded 110,000 peak concurrent players within three days and reached No. 6 on Steam’s global top-sellers chart. The peak is a publisher-reported launch-period Steam figure, not the later monthly average. NetEase’s investor-relations materials.
NetEase’s March 6, 2025 launch announcement quoted Bad Guitar Studio Creative Director and Producer Xin Chang: “With FragPunk, our goal is to introduce greater strategic depth and limitless possibilities to the traditional FPS genre.” The quote describes the studio’s design aim; it does not establish the game’s commercial outcome. Marvel Rivals also had major Steam milestones
NetEase’s Q1 2025 investor presentation said Marvel Rivals topped Steam’s global top-sellers chart shortly after its Season 2 update in April 2025. That is a separate chart milestone from FragPunk’s No. 6 launch position: each describes a point-in-time ranking, not revenue totals or sustained player counts. What the numbers do—and do not—show
Steam concurrency is useful for comparing activity on Steam over a defined period. Here, the launch peak shows FragPunk drew a substantial initial audience, while its later averages indicate that its Steam audience was much smaller than Marvel Rivals’ in September and the 30-day window shown in October 2026.
