That was a pre-show estimate, not the final count: Koelnmesse later reported 1,462 exhibitors.
What did organizers announce before gamescom 2024?
In an advance announcement published shortly before the event, game – Verband der deutschen Games-Branche said gamescom 2024 would bring together more than 1,400 exhibitors from 64 countries, around 15% above the 2023 figure. The event is jointly organized by Koelnmesse and game, the German games industry association. Read the association’s announcement.
Koelnmesse management board chairman Gerald Böse described the growth as evidence that the event “continues to grow,” while also pointing to new initiatives intended to contribute to gamescom’s diversity and appeal.
How many exhibitors did gamescom 2024 ultimately report?
Koelnmesse’s post-show report recorded 1,462 exhibitors from 64 countries, with a 71% foreign share. This post-event figure is the reported final count; it should not be confused with the advance announcement of “more than 1,400.” See the gamescom 2024 post-show report.
