Players reported that some quests were missing or that progression was blocked; contemporary coverage said Epic was preparing a correction, and a later report on v20.20 said an issue affecting some players’ progress had been fixed. That is a historical update, not confirmation of a current fix in the works: the quest set has ended.
Why were Resistance Quests missing or unavailable?
During Chapter 3 Season 2, players reported that Resistance Quests sometimes failed to appear, disappeared, or would not unlock or progress as expected. Those reports described symptoms, not proof that every player was affected by one universal bug.

A March 31, 2022 report by Gamepur covered the issue and reported that Epic knew some players could not complete available quests and expected a correction. Because this is contemporary secondary coverage, it should not be read as a current Epic notice or as evidence that every reported symptom had the same cause.
Was a fix released?
A post dated April 19, 2022 on Reddit reproduces Fortnite v20.20 update information stating that Epic fixed an issue preventing some players from progressing through Resistance Quests. The source available for that specific fix is a community post, rather than Epic’s own patch-note page; it supports a historical fix for a progression issue, not a claim that every missing-quest symptom was resolved.

Can you still unlock the Resistance Quests?
No. The community-maintained Fortnite Wiki records the Resistance Quests as available from March 20 through June 4, 2022. Since that time-limited quest set ended, troubleshooting cannot restore or unlock it now.
What to do if a Fortnite quest is missing now
If a current quest is unavailable, check whether the problem is widespread before changing settings or reinstalling the game. Epic’s live-issues support page points players to the official status page, @FortniteStatus, the known-issues community page, and Fortnite News.

- Check service health. Visit Epic Games Public Status for outages or maintenance. When checked on October 8, 2026, Fortnite services were listed as operational; that general status does not establish that every quest or account is working correctly.
- Look for a quest-specific notice. Check @FortniteStatus, Epic’s known-issues community page, and Fortnite News through the live-issues page for announcements relevant to the current quest.
- Contact Epic Player Support if the issue persists. Include your platform, the exact quest name, what action fails, and whether restarting the game or entering a new match changes the symptom. The available information does not establish a universal platform-specific workaround.
There is no evidence that buying hardware, a controller, or optimization software can restore a time-limited quest or resolve a quest-progression issue.
