A February 12, 2025 report said a leak had previewed the map for Genshin Impact’s coming Great Volcano of Tollan area. HoYoverse later confirmed the volcano’s place in Version 5.5 and located it in southwestern Natlan—but the official announcement did not authenticate the leaked image or confirm its specific layout.
What the Great Volcano of Tollan map leak claimed
Gamelab.gr reported on February 12, 2025, that a map leak offered an early look at the Great Volcano of Tollan area expected in Version 5.5. That establishes that a leak story circulated before the update; it is secondary reporting, not verification of the image itself. The report reviewed here does not identify a verifiable original leaker or establish the image’s authenticity.
For that reason, claims about particular routes, boundaries, elevations, or map layers should not be treated as confirmed details of the leak. The available reporting does not establish those specifics.
What HoYoverse later confirmed about the area
On March 14, 2025, HoYoverse announced Version 5.5, titled “Day of the Flame’s Return,” and said it was scheduled to arrive on March 26, 2025. The announcement described the Great Volcano of Tollan as an area players would explore in southwestern Natlan. Read HoYoverse’s Version 5.5 announcement via Games Press.

How HoYoverse framed the Sacred Mountain
In a March 18, 2025 official feature, HoYoverse promoted the volcano as the “Sacred Mountain” and invited players to explore its mysteries. The feature opened: “Behold! Once the origin of all flames, once the fount of all light. Are you ready to unveil the mysteries of the Sacred Mountain, the Great Volcano of Tollan?” The line is promotional framing, not independent confirmation of the leaked map’s contents. Read the official Sacred Mountain feature.

Where to find an official map reference
For a reference to the released area rather than the unverified leak image, HoYoWiki’s Ancient Sacred Mountain entry includes a location map and the official volcano tutorial. It is an official map reference for the area, but it should not be confused with proof of what the pre-release leak showed.
