The Mysterious Clipboard in Genshin Impact’s Aranyaka journal shows paintings that point to hidden chests tied to the Static Views quest. The confirmed landmarks below cover pictures 1, 3, 12, 14 and 15. For other numbers, use the painting and its in-game map clue rather than relying on unverified coordinates.
How the Mysterious Clipboard works
The Clipboard records treasure-location paintings in the Aranyaka journal and is connected to the Dream Nursery quest series. Its pictures are clues, not a complete route map: some chests are underground or obscured, and later pictures depend on quest progress.
Complete Aranyaka Part I: Woodland Encounter and Part II: Dream Nursery to begin the sequence, as described by the version-era walkthrough. The journal’s current quest text is the best guide to what is available in your game. Later pictures arrive as you continue progression and check the Vanarana mailbox; do not assume a fixed real-time reset schedule.

Find the other numbered paintings
Dependable complete landmark descriptions are not established here for every picture, so avoid treating an unsourced coordinate or route as definitive. Open the relevant numbered painting in Aranyaka, compare the image with the in-game map, and follow any route or prerequisite the game indicates. The picture number is the safest way to match a clue to the right location.

- Open the Aranyaka journal and check that the matching numbered painting is present.
- Confirm that the preceding picture or relevant quest stage is complete. Later entries are progression-gated, and picture availability is separate from reaching the chest itself.
- Check whether the clue points underground, beneath loose sand, or toward a passage opened by a quest.
- Return to the exact painting marker and compare its image with the surroundings before searching nearby areas.
For picture 14, check progress in The Dirge of Bilqis. For picture 15, inspect the current journal and local access around the City of the Deceased area rather than assuming the older shortcut still works unchanged.
