Ghost of Tsushima 2 is the common shorthand, but the game’s official title is Ghost of Yōtei. It launched worldwide on PlayStation 5 on October 2, 2025, and is already available. PS5 is the confirmed platform; no PC release date has been announced on the official game page.
When did Ghost of Tsushima 2 come out?
Ghost of Yōtei launched worldwide for PS5 on October 2, 2025. Sucker Punch Productions announced that date in April 2025, and Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed the worldwide launch on the day of release. PlayStation.Blog’s release announcement and Sony Interactive Entertainment’s launch announcement identify PS5 as the launch platform.

What platforms is Ghost of Yōtei on?
PS5 and PS5 Pro
The confirmed platform is PlayStation 5. The official PlayStation game page also lists PS5 Pro support. Its enhanced features include PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution and advanced ray tracing; the page also describes DualSense haptic feedback.
Is Ghost of Yōtei on PC?
The official PlayStation page does not give a PC release date or confirm a PC version. PC availability and timing therefore remain unconfirmed in the official information cited here; do not treat rumored dates as announcements.

No. PlayStation says the game is not coming to PS4, explaining that development focused on the newest generation of PlayStation consoles.
Why do people call it Ghost of Tsushima 2?
Ghost of Yōtei is a standalone experience, not a direct story sequel. Set about 300 years after Ghost of Tsushima, in 1600s Ezo—present-day Hokkaido—it follows Atsu, a mercenary pursuing revenge after her family is killed. Jin Sakai is not the protagonist. PlayStation describes the game as an evolution of the earlier title’s design and mythos, rather than a continuation of its story.

Complete Edition
The US PlayStation Store listing for Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition identifies it as a PS5 release dated August 12, 2026. The listing includes the base game, the Echoes of Sekigahara story expansion, the Most Wanted combat-survival mode, and listed digital bonuses. At the time reflected in that listing, its displayed US price was $69.99; store pricing and content can change, and other regions may differ.
Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Editions
Sucker Punch’s April 2025 announcement listed a Digital Deluxe Edition at a US launch MSRP of $79.99. Its Collector’s Edition announcement described a replica mask, sash, tsuba, coin pouch and Zeni Hajiki instructions, papercraft, and art cards. Those are historical launch-edition details, not confirmation of current price or stock.

What is the game like?
PlayStation describes melee and ranged combat, an expanding arsenal, and training with weapon masters. Players can choose which of the Yōtei Six to pursue first, giving the revenge quest some freedom in its order. These are features of the game, separate from the platform and release-date facts above.
