Xbox announced an August 26, 2025 release for Gears of War: Reloaded, and its launch-day article confirmed the game was out that day. The original countdown has therefore ended.

GamesRadar reported the following simultaneous launch-day times for PS5, PC and Xbox Series X|S. These are the publication’s reported schedule, not an unlock hour specified in Xbox’s release announcements.

Which platforms can you play it on?
Xbox’s launch announcement listed Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PlayStation 5 and Steam. The game is also listed on the Steam store and the PlayStation store.
What to know about access and cross-play
At launch, Xbox announced day-one availability through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. That announcement records the launch offer; it does not establish whether the game is currently included in either catalog. Xbox also announced a $39.99 suggested retail price at launch, not a current price.

Xbox says cross-play is supported across platforms. Its launch-day article says signing in with a Microsoft account enables cross-platform parties and cross-progression. Xbox Play Anywhere applies to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox PC.
