Platforms and game format
Rockstar currently lists Grand Theft Auto VI for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The official platform information reviewed does not announce a PC version, so a PC release date is not confirmed in these listings. What to know before choosing an edition
Rockstar’s support page lists Standard and Ultimate editions, with digital and physical purchase formats. The physical Standard Edition is code-in-box: it contains a download code, not a disc. Rockstar says Standard Edition owners can buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately; a physical Ultimate Edition is not available.
- Platform: Choose the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S version that matches the system you plan to use.
- Edition: Standard and Ultimate are listed, and the Ultimate Edition Upgrade is available separately to Standard owners.
- Format: Digital purchases are downloads. The physical Standard Edition is a boxed code with no disc.

Pre-order details and listed price
Rockstar’s June 2026 announcement said pre-orders began June 25 local time. It described a Vintage Vice City Pack for purchases made before November 20 and a free month of GTA+ with digital pre-orders. These terms are time-sensitive, so check Rockstar’s current listing before relying on bonus eligibility or availability.
