The scene gives fans a glimpse of the game’s stylized mythological cast, but it does not establish a romance or reveal a major plot turn.
What the trailer actually shows
In a trailer for the Xbox and PlayStation versions, Heracles appears at a hot spring and asks Melinoë, “Why are you here?” PC Gamer reported that the scene appears about 53 seconds into the roughly one-minute trailer, and described it as a tease of a character otherwise encountered during surface runs. The report, published March 26, 2026, says the trailer accompanied news of bonus content and a quality-of-life update ahead of the consoles’ April 14 release. PC Gamer’s trailer report
That is the evidence behind the suggestive “hot gods” framing: a character-focused hot-spring scene. It does not, by itself, confirm a romantic relationship, specify nudity, or disclose a larger story revelation.
Who are the gods in Hades II?
Hades II is a roguelike dungeon crawler and direct sequel set in and around the Underworld of Greek myth. You play Melinoë, the immortal Princess of the Underworld, battling Chronos, the Titan of Time, with dark sorcery, weapons, and Olympian boons. Supergiant says the game features boons from more than a dozen Olympian gods and a cast of dozens of fully voiced characters; the cast also includes ghosts and monsters, so it is broader than a list of gods. - Battle beyond the Underworld using dark sorcery to take on the Titan of Time in this bewitching sequel to the award-winning rogue-like dungeon crawler.
Supergiant frames Melinoë as based on an ancient Underworld deity. Its FAQ describes Hecate as the goddess of magic, witchcraft, and the crossroads, and as a significant figure in classical mythology surrounding Hades and the Underworld. Those descriptions explain the studio’s approach to the characters; the game’s portrayals are not a definitive account of Greek mythology. Supergiant’s Hades II FAQ
The official reveal-trailer description credits Judy Alice Lee as Melinoë, Amelia Tyler as Hecate, Sterling Sulieman as Moros, Colin Ryan as Apollo, Becca Q. Co as Nemesis, Erin Yvette as Dora, and Logan Cunningham as Hades. These are credits for that reveal trailer, not a complete current cast list. Hades II reveal trailer
