Why an HSR code may not work
HoYoverse identifies four common causes of an invalid or already-used code message:
- Wrong server region: the code or account region may not match. HoYoverse lists Asia, Europe, Americas, and TW/HK/MO server regions.
- Expiration: the code’s redemption window may have ended.
- Entry error: codes are case-sensitive, and similar-looking characters can be confused.
- Already redeemed: the account may have used the code previously.
Check the spelling and the account’s server, then confirm that the code is still within its stated redemption period. HoYoverse’s guidance is: “For your security, redeem codes from official channels only, such as HoYoLAB, YouTube, and Twitch.” The help article was updated October 8, 2025. It also warns that third-party redemption software violates the Terms of Service and may result in account penalties. See HoYoverse Help Center guidance on invalid or already-used codes.
