PlayStation’s September 24, 2025 State of Play featured new game reveals and gameplay, release-date announcements, PlayStation Plus plans, and two hardware products. Here’s the full announcement list, with dates and windows presented as they were announced at the event—not as confirmation of current availability.
The event recap was published by Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Gillen McAllister on PlayStation.Blog on September 24, 2025. Its announcements ranged from new PS5 games and returning franchises to subscription catalog plans and accessories.
Games with announced release dates or windows
These dates and windows are the ones given in the September 2025 recap. They should not be read as confirmation that a game has since launched or that a planned date remains unchanged.
- Code Vein II: Bandai Namco showed new gameplay and announced a January 30, 2026 PS5 release. The action RPG sequel follows humans and vampires in a future world, with partner characters fighting alongside the player.
- Crimson Desert: Pearl Abyss announced a March 19, 2026 PS5 release and showed a story trailer set on the continent of Pywel.
- Deus Ex Remastered: Aspyr and Eidos Montreal announced a February 5 release for the PS5 remaster of the original cyberpunk immersive sim. The recap highlighted new lighting and dynamic shadows, rebuilt character models, and other visual updates.
- Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered: The PS5 remaster was announced for March 19, 2026. It is built on Unreal Engine 5 and includes content from Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends.
- Halloween: IllFonic announced a PS5 game for September 8, 2026. The game is designed for either a standalone single-player story or asymmetrical multiplayer, with players able to take the role of Michael Myers or a Haddonfield resident.
- Let It Die: Inferno: The PS5 survival action roguelite was announced for December 3, 2025. Players take a Raider into Hell Gate, where the recap describes encounters with enemies and other players.
- Marvel’s Wolverine: Insomniac Games and Marvel Games showed the PS5 game’s first gameplay trailer and announced a Fall 2026 launch window.
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024: The PS5 version was announced for December 8, 2025. The recap also announced a free update planned for 2026 to bring the full game to PS VR2.
- Nioh 3: Koei Tecmo showed more of the action RPG and announced a February 6, 2026 PS5 release.
- Saros: Housemarque presented more of the game’s world, combat, and mechanics, and announced a March 20, 2026 PS5 launch.
- The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin: The free-to-play open-world RPG was announced for PS5 on January 28, 2026. The recap said it could be played solo or with other players.
Other game reveals and updates
- Battlefield 6: The showcase presented the globe-trotting single-player campaign. Marine Raiders unit Dagger 13 is trying to stop the private military corporation Pax Armata.
- Chronoscript: The Endless End: DeskWorks Inc. and Shueisha Games announced this exploration-based 2D action-adventure for PS5.
- Gran Turismo 7: Producer Kazunori Yamauchi announced that the Gran Turismo series had sold 100 million units globally as of June 2025. A Spec III update was planned for December 2025, with eight vehicles, two F1 race circuits, circuit experience, and a data logger feature.
- Last Epoch: The action RPG was confirmed for PS5 alongside its first major expansion, Last Epoch: Oryboss. The recap described online co-op with up to three companions.
- Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds: A Mega Man DLC pack was announced for early 2026 as part of the Season Pass Digital Deluxe Edition. The featured content included Mega Man, Proto Man, and a reimagined Dr. Wily’s Castle.
- Zero Parades – For Dead Spies: ZA/UM revealed first gameplay for its narrative-first espionage RPG. The recap introduced protagonist Hershel and highlighted mechanics called Dramatic Encounters, Exertion, and Conditioning.
PlayStation Plus announcements
The recap laid out additions planned for specific points in 2025. These were announcements about the catalog at the time, not a statement of what is currently included.

- Game Catalog: The Last of Us Part II was scheduled to join on September 26, 2025. The announcement specified both The Last of Us Part II (PS4) and The Last of Us Part II Remastered (PS5).
- October Monthly Games: Alan Wake 2, Goat Simulator 3, and Cocoon were announced as available starting October 7, 2025.
- Premium Classics: Tekken 3, Soulcalibur III, and Tomb Raider Anniversary were planned for the Premium Classics range later in 2025.
Hardware announced at the showcase
- God of War 20th Anniversary Limited Edition DualSense controller: The limited-edition controller’s design evokes Kratos’ ashen skin and scarlet tattoo. Preorders were announced to open October 3, 2025, with launch planned for that October.
- PlayStation Pulse Elevate wireless speakers: Sony announced desktop speakers featuring planar magnetic drivers, multi-device connectivity, and PlayStation Link wireless technology.
