Helldivers 2 Patch 01.400.002, released September 16, 2025, focused on crash fixes and audio fixes, including cave audio. It also addressed a cave reinforcement issue and adjusted Dragonroach and Rupture Warrior behavior. These are the changes listed in the patch announcement; they do not establish that every related issue was eliminated for all players.
Helldivers 2 September 16, 2025 patch notes
The September 16 update is Patch 01.400.002. Its published changes cover four crash scenarios, a reinforcement placement fix, two enemy behavior changes, and three audio fixes.

- Fixed a crash on cave maps when the host migrates under certain conditions.
- Fixed a crash to desktop if the oil rig was destroyed while the shuttle was on its way.
- Fixed a crash when joining someone using bombardment stratagems.
- Fixed a crash on game startup.
- Fixed Helldivers reinforcing on top of cave structures.
- Changed Dragonroach behavior so it can be damaged with fire and/or gas.
- Changed Rupture Warrior tracking so it accurately tracks moving clients, leveling attack difficulty between client and host.
- Fixed an audio bug related to Devastator projectiles.
- Rebalanced cave audio levels.
- Fixed a rare instance where Primary Weapon audio went missing.
The HELLDIVERS 2 Patch 01.400.002 announcement says: “The Dragonroach can now be damaged with fire and/or gas”. It also says: “Rupture Warriors now track moving clients accurately, leveling the difficulty level of attacks between client and host”.
What the patch changed for enemies
Dragonroach
The change makes the Dragonroach damageable with fire and/or gas, as stated in the patch announcement. It does not specify a damage amount or provide a broader balance breakdown.

Rupture Warrior
The notes say the Rupture Warrior now tracks moving clients accurately, with the intent of leveling attack difficulty between client and host. They do not provide numerical values for the change.
Why the notes mention caves and the oil rig
Patch 01.400.002 followed Into the Unjust, a separate update released September 2, 2025. That earlier update introduced randomly generated giant cave systems on Hive Worlds, cave and resource missions, the GATER mobile oil rig, and new Terminid variants including the Dragonroach and Rupture enemies. The September 16 patch is a follow-up, not the release date of Into the Unjust.

The September 2 update is described in the Into the Unjust announcement. The September 16 patch is a historical record of the changes listed for that build; later patches may have changed current gameplay behavior.
