The Python Commandos Premium Warbond, announced for December 2, 2025, brings Helldivers 2 its long-requested M-1000 Maxigun along with a flamethrower drone, a machete, and a rifle-grenade launcher hybrid. The announcement also lists two armor sets and a selection of themed cosmetics. Its date is now in the past; the announcement does not confirm the Warbond’s current price or availability.
What is the Python Commandos Warbond?
Python Commandos is a Premium Warbond announced by Arrowhead Game Studios on November 25, 2025, with a stated release date of December 2, 2025. In the announcement, Arrowhead’s Social Media and Community Manager Katherine Baskin said the Ministry of Defense had received “thousands of requests from squad commanders for a minigun” before introducing the M-1000 Maxigun. That describes the developer’s stated demand; it is not a separately measured player survey.
The announcement presents the Warbond as jungle-themed, but its most distinctive feature is the mix of weapons and equipment roles rather than a single weapon category. The named contents below are from the advance announcement, not an independent gameplay test. Read the PlayStation Blog announcement.
Which weapons and stratagems are included?
Arrowhead described the package as containing three new stratagems and a new primary weapon. The announcement identifies these items and their intended roles:

| Item | Role described in the announcement |
|---|---|
| M-1000 Maxigun | A belt-fed minigun that Arrowhead characterizes as having “ultra-high ammo capacity.” |
| AX/FLAM-75 “Guard Dog” Hot Dog | A drone equipped with a flamethrower. |
| CQC-9 Defoliation Tool | A machete. |
| AR/GL-21 One-Two | A primary weapon combining an assault rifle and a grenade launcher. Arrowhead says it is heavy to wield and makes the primary slot more versatile. |
The Maxigun is the answer to the headline’s minigun question. The other entries cover different roles: a flamethrower-equipped drone, a melee weapon, and a hybrid primary. The announcement does not provide tested damage, handling, ammunition totals, or comparative performance, so it does not establish which weapon is strongest or best suited to a particular enemy.
What armor is in the Warbond?
The two listed sets share the Rock Solid passive, which Arrowhead describes as helping a Helldiver resist staggering and ragdolling. Their stated difference is weight class:

What do players need to unlock it?
The official unlock note says players need the base game, paid Super Credits, and game progression. It does not state a specific Super Credits price for this Warbond. Because the announced release date was December 2, 2025, check the relevant in-game or platform store listing for current availability and price rather than treating the announcement as a current offer.
