For Phase 8 PvE healing in WoW Classic Season of Discovery, Scarlet Enclave gear is a major target, but a best-in-slot list is not a fixed outfit: the strongest individual item may be less useful than a piece that completes a set bonus. The recommendations below identify the source-specific targets, acquisition sources and alternatives, with the key trade-offs for Holy Priest healers.
What Phase 8 best-in-slot means for a Holy Priest
Phase 8 adds Scarlet Enclave and the Priest healer set Vestments of Revelation to the gearing picture. Wowhead’s recommendations cover Priest healers generally; Icy Veins labels its list Holy Priest. Their lists are useful targets, not proof that every slot has one uncontested Holy-only answer or that an item is guaranteed to drop.
Wowhead explicitly warns that raw-stat rankings can change when set bonuses matter. For example, it recommends Robe of Revelation for raw stats, while Robes of the Oracle may fit a more useful set-bonus combination. Likewise, Bindings of Faith can be preferable to the slightly stronger Bindings of Revelation when the Naxxramas two-piece bonus is valuable. The right legs can also depend on the set combination you are building.
Representative Phase 8 gear by slot
The following table follows Wowhead’s Priest-healer recommendations unless otherwise noted. Treat each recommendation as that guide’s ranking, not an official Blizzard ranking or a guaranteed drop.

| Slot | Wowhead target and source | Useful alternatives and differences |
|---|---|---|
| Head | Cardinal’s Chapeau — High Commander Beatrix, Scarlet Enclave | Circlet of Revelation can help with Tier 3.5 set bonuses. Icy Veins instead lists Don Rigoberto’s Lost Hat from AQ40. |
| Shoulders | Shoulderpads of Revelation — the Reborn Council, Scarlet Enclave | Shoulderpads of Faith from Naxxramas can suit a different set combination. |
| Back | Cardinal’s Shawl — High Commander Beatrix, Scarlet Enclave | Cloak of Suturing and Cloak of Clarity trade healing and mana or other stats differently. |
| Chest | Robe of Revelation — Grand Crusader Caldoran, Scarlet Enclave; Wowhead’s raw-stat pick | Robes of the Oracle from C’Thun may better balance set bonuses. |
| Wrists | Bindings of Revelation — Balnazzar, Scarlet Enclave | Bindings of Faith from Naxxramas may be preferable for its two-piece bonus. Icy Veins lists Bracelets of Royal Redemption instead. |
| Hands | Gloves of Revelation — Mason the Echo, Scarlet Enclave | Gloves of Faith or Gloves of Departed Souls can work better with the set bonuses you want. |
| Waist | Belt of Revelation — High Commander Beatrix, Scarlet Enclave | Grasp of the Old God and Belt of Faith are alternatives. Icy Veins lists Grasp of the Old God. |
| Legs | Leggings of Revelation — Lilian Voss, Scarlet Enclave | Faith or Oracle legs can suit a set combination. Icy Veins lists Leggings of Faith. |
| Feet | Savior Sandals — Balnazzar, Scarlet Enclave | Sandals of Revelation and Sandals of Faith are alternatives depending on set preferences. |
| Neck | Touch of Light — Solistrasza, Scarlet Enclave | Barian’s Choker from Karazhan Crypts is an alternative. |
| Rings | Ring of Resurrection — Grand Crusader Caldoran; Ring of Faith — Kel’Thuzad | Other rings can serve specific set effects. Icy Veins includes Signet Ring of the Bronze Dragonflight alongside Ring of Faith. |
| Trinkets | Eye of the Dead, Ruby-Encrusted Broach, Stiltz’s Standard and Lucky Doubloon | Choose around encounter needs and on-use effects. Wowhead notes Rejuvenating Gem and Ruby-Encrusted Broach cannot be equipped together because of a unique-equipped limit. |
| Weapon | Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian | For a one-hand/off-hand setup, Wowhead names Spire of Sacrifice plus The Light as its best healing combination after Atiesh; Icy Veins also lists both. |
For the slot-specific alternatives and rankings, see Wowhead’s Priest healer gear guide and Icy Veins’ Phase 8 Holy Priest list. The disagreements in the table reflect those guides’ different full-set choices; they are not evidence that one list applies to every character or encounter.

Healing output, mana and other stats
Icy Veins states its assumed stat order as “Healing Power > MP5 > Spirit > Intellect > Crit.” Use that as a baseline for evaluating its list, not a universal formula for every fight. Wowhead’s alternatives reflect different priorities: some trade healing for crit or mana, and its trinket choices include options for added Greater Heal throughput or mana support.

Set bonuses and Naxxramas Sanctified gear
Wowhead says Phase 8 continues the Sanctified enhancement. Its guide says obtaining Aspirant’s Seal of the Dawn from Naxxramas grants access to the bonus, and Remnants of Valor can upgrade the seal to rank 7 Vanguard’s Seal of the Dawn. Wowhead states: “Equipping Sanctified pieces results in a huge 120% bonus to your healing spells, assuming you have the max rank buff and 8 pieces of Sanctified equipped.” That stated bonus applies only inside Naxxramas and caps at eight pieces; it is Wowhead’s guide claim, not an independently verified figure here. Account for that instance-specific benefit when deciding whether a raw-stat upgrade breaks a valuable set combination.
Encounter needs, trinkets and haste
Do not assume a single trinket pair suits every encounter. Wowhead highlights situational on-use effects and options for extra Greater Heal throughput or mana when those are useful. It also notes that haste does not affect the healer Priest global cooldown in the version described, so do not value haste as though it shortens that cooldown.

Acquisition effort
The table mixes Scarlet Enclave targets with items from Naxxramas, AQ40, Karazhan Crypts and other listed sources. Treat it as a progression target set: an available alternative that preserves a valuable bonus can be more useful than waiting for a nominal top item. The cited guide lists identify sources but do not establish drop guarantees.
