Mateo, Betty, and Dasha were the top three dateables in an unofficial community survey posted in July 2025: Mateo ranked first, Betty second, and Dasha third. That is a snapshot of one survey’s responses—not an objective ranking or a verdict shared by every player.
What “hottest” means in Date Everything!
Date Everything! is a dating simulator set in the player character’s home. The official game site describes magical Dateviator glasses that make household objects dateable. Steam advertises 100 fully voiced characters; each has a story that can lead to a lover, friend, or enemy relationship. Team17’s June 17, 2025 launch announcement says branching dialogue leads to multiple endings for each character.

The game’s premise makes “hottest” a matter of taste: players might mean romance appeal, personality, story, humor, or simply the route they enjoyed most. The strongest numerical comparison available here is a fan-made relationship-preference survey, not an official poll or a representative measure of the full player base.
The 2025 survey’s top dateables
In a Reddit survey posted in July 2025, the author assigned numerical values to relationship statuses and calculated average scores. The top three were:

Those figures are the survey’s results, not an in-game stat or a ranking published by the developer. The survey’s search-visible text does not establish that its respondents represent the broader player base.
Other names in the survey’s top ten
The rest of the listed top ten were Eddie, Dolly, Daisuke, Dorian, Lady Memoria and Hank Number 5 (tied), Penelope, and Zoey. The tied position means the list includes ten names but not ten distinct rank numbers.

Mateo and Betty led different relationship preferences
The same survey broke out two relationship preferences. Mateo led the share of respondents who wanted a soulmate relationship, at 28.9%; Betty led the share who wanted to be lovers, at 53.3%. These percentages describe that survey’s answers and should not be read as proportions of all Date Everything! players.
Why fan favorites vary
A separate Reddit thread asking people to rank their personal top five includes mentions of Hector, Barry Styles, Daemon, Dorian, Chance, and Betty, among many others. It is a collection of personal comments, not a counted poll, so it shows how preferences vary rather than establishing another ranking.

That variety fits a game built around individual character routes: dialogue can lead to different relationship outcomes, and Team17 says each character has multiple endings. Someone choosing a favorite for romance appeal may land on a different dateable from a player who values humor, personality, or story. The survey provides one useful numerical answer; it cannot settle those personal comparisons.

Steam’s promotional description advertises 100 fully voiced dateable characters, while a wiki search result reports a roster of 102/102. Those counts appear to use different scopes: the larger figure may include DLC-aware entries. Treat 100 as the advertised base-game count and do not compare it directly with 102 without confirming what content each count includes.
