TiMi Studio Group publicou o trailer de gameplay de Honor of Kings: World em 19 de março de 2025, durante a Game Developers Conference (GDC). Em 12 de março de 2025, a Tencent anunciou que mostraria uma demonstração de Honor of Kings: World na GDC. Jornalistas poderiam agendar uma visita para ver gameplay, mecânicas de combate e elementos narrativos. O que o trailer revelou sobre o jogo
TiMi descreveu o título como um RPG de aventura multiplayer baseado no universo do MOBA Honor of Kings, com combate de ação, cooperação e exploração de um mundo cinematográfico. O estúdio disse que o jogo estava em desenvolvimento para PC e dispositivos móveis. Uma demonstração para PC exibida na Gamescom 2025 trouxe informações adicionais, mas elas se referem àquela demo, não necessariamente ao produto comercial final. Segundo a Tencent Japan, os participantes podiam jogar com mouse e teclado ou controle. A apresentação também incluiu chefes cooperativos, alternância entre dois estilos de combate, criação de itens, construção de moradia, exploração e modo história.
A escolha entre mouse e teclado e controle é, portanto, uma opção documentada para a demo de PC da Gamescom. A fonte não confirma suporte a controle na versão comercial.
