To change your unique Supercell Player ID, open a Supercell game and go to Settings → Supercell ID → cogwheel → Change beside Player ID. Supercell says this ID can be changed only once and the replacement must be unique. To change the name other players see, use that game’s name-change option instead; rules and costs vary by game.
Which name are you trying to change?
Supercell uses “Player ID” for a unique identifier associated with Supercell ID. It helps players add friends and helps Support locate an account. A game’s visible player name or nickname is separate and follows that game’s own rules. The email linked to Supercell ID is a third, separate setting; changing it does not change either name. - Name shown in a game: use the section for that specific game, if covered below.
- Account email: use the email-change instructions later in this article.
Change your Supercell Player ID
- Open the game and tap Settings.
- Open Supercell ID.
- Tap the cogwheel to open account settings.
- Tap Change beside Player ID.
- Choose an available ID and follow the prompts. The new ID must not already be claimed.
Supercell says the Player ID can be changed only once. This is different from changing a game’s visible name; the one-time limit applies to the Player ID procedure. See Supercell’s Player ID help page.
Change the visible name in a specific game
Clash of Clans
The name-change option becomes available at Town Hall 5. Go to Settings → More Settings → Change Name, follow the prompts, and type CONFIRM in capital letters when asked. The first change is free; later changes cost Gems, starting at 500 and increasing by 500 for each subsequent change. These are the amounts stated on Supercell’s support page, which does not display a publication or update date. Clash of Clans name-change instructions.

Supercell says names must be 2–15 characters. It advises avoiding emojis, special characters, and non-Latin characters because they may display incorrectly. Names should not be rude, offensive, political, or contain personal information such as a real name, phone number, or address. Supercell also states that Support cannot change a Clash of Clans name on request.
Brawl Stars
Open your player profile and select your name to change it. The first change is free, and Supercell’s dedicated name-change page says players must wait three days before changing it again. Brawl Stars name-change instructions.

Supercell’s two published support pages disagree on later Gem prices. The dedicated page lists 60 Gems for the second change, 90 for the third, 120 for the fourth, and 150 for the fifth and later changes. A separate FAQ lists 30, 60, 90, 120, and 150 Gems for the second through sixth-or-later changes, respectively. Both state a three-day wait, and neither page displays a publication or update date. Squad Busters
Supercell allows one free nickname change and says it cannot be changed again afterward. Names must be 2–15 characters. Avoid emojis, special characters, and non-Latin characters because they may not display properly. The page also advises against rude, offensive, or political names and personal information. Change the email linked to Supercell ID
If you meant the account email rather than a name, open the game and go to Settings → Supercell ID → cogwheel → Change Email, then follow the prompts. When you can access the current email, the process uses a verification code sent to it. Supercell says email changes are not limited, though it may disable the option for accounts it considers unsecured. This changes the account email only; it does not change your Player ID or in-game name. Supercell’s email-change instructions.

Before confirming a name change
- Check that you are changing the right thing: Player ID, game name, or account email.
- Check the selected game’s own rules; the examples above do not establish a universal policy for every Supercell game.
- Read the in-game confirmation screen carefully, especially if the change costs Gems or has a waiting period.
- Choose a name that avoids personal details and content that could violate the game’s naming rules.
