To change your secondary profession in Guild Wars, first complete the milestone for your character’s campaign, unlock the profession you want, then select it in the Skills and Attributes panel (press K) while in a town or outpost. You can switch freely among professions you have unlocked; the 500-gold charge applies once to unlock each new choice, not every time you switch.
1. Meet your character’s campaign requirement
Eligibility depends on where the role-playing character began. Complete the applicable milestone before trying to change the secondary profession:

2. Unlock the profession you want to use
Each profession must be unlocked for that character before it can be selected as a secondary. After meeting the campaign requirement, talk to a Profession Changer and pay 500 gold to unlock each new secondary profession. For core professions, Prophecies quests can provide an alternative to paying a Profession Changer. Core professions are Warrior, Ranger, Monk, Necromancer, Mesmer, and Elementalist. Assassin and Ritualist are Factions professions; Paragon and Dervish are Nightfall professions. To unlock a non-core profession, the corresponding campaign must be available on your account. 3. Select an unlocked secondary profession
- Go to any town or outpost.
- Press K to open the Skills and Attributes panel.
- Select the secondary profession from the choices already unlocked for that character.
You can also make the change by speaking with a Profession Changer. The Guild Wars manual describes changing in any town or outpost through the Skills and Attributes panel after completing a profession quest or paying a Profession Changer. Guild Wars manual, Chapter Two

What happens to your old secondary skills?
Skills learned for a secondary profession are not deleted when you switch away. They are hidden while that profession is inactive and appear again when you select it as your secondary profession. Guild Wars Wiki: Profession changer
