How do I redeem my EA Play Pro code?
- Read the code’s instructions. For subscription codes, EA says to use the URL provided with the code. Retailer-issued codes may have their own activation route, so follow that route rather than assuming the standard game-code screen applies. See EA’s code redemption guidance.
- Confirm the code is for EA Play Pro and that you’re eligible to use it. EA Play Pro is a PC membership activated through the EA app, not a console or Steam/Epic membership. EA also lists Brazil as an unavailable region. Details are in EA’s EA Play Pro guidance.
- Sign in to the correct EA Account before redeeming. The membership attaches to the account that completes redemption. Double-check the account, especially if the membership is intended for a child.
- Complete the steps on the code’s redemption page. If the instructions direct you to a general EA product-code route, EA lists ea.com/redeem, the EA app’s My Library > Redeem Code, and the Payment and Wallet tab in your EA Account as product-code options. Use one only when it matches the instructions for your subscription code.
Where do I enter an EA Play Pro code?
Start with the URL printed or linked in the code’s instructions. That is the safest route because EA says subscription codes can have an individual redemption URL. The EA app’s My Library > Redeem Code and EA Account’s Payment and Wallet area are listed for ordinary EA product codes; they are not a guaranteed universal entry point for every subscription code.
Is this a code redemption or a membership upgrade?
A code and an existing EA Play membership are different situations. If you already have EA Play and want to switch plans, EA’s documented upgrade path is through your account rather than by entering a code.
Upgrade an existing EA Play membership
- Open your EA Account’s Subscriptions and Memberships.
- Select EA Play, then manage the membership.
- Choose Change Membership and select Switch to EA Play Pro.
- Choose a monthly or yearly plan and confirm.
EA says the remaining time on the prior EA Play membership is refunded to the original payment method after the upgrade payment goes through. For the current route and details, see EA’s upgrade instructions.

Why is my EA Play code not working?
The code is for a different membership plan
EA says a membership code may need to match the plan you currently have. If you’re trying to apply a different plan, you may need to cancel the current membership and wait until it ends before redeeming the new code. Check EA’s EA Play Pro troubleshooting and upgrade guidance for plan-related errors.
The code was already redeemed or expired
If a retailer’s code was already used or had expired when sold, contact the retailer. Include your purchase details and ask them to check the code. EA’s code help page explains the distinction between retailer-code issues and account issues.

The code was applied to the wrong EA Account
Contact EA if the code went to the wrong account, and have proof of purchase ready. A code attached to one account may not be transferable just because you signed in to another one afterward.
The code or membership is tied to another platform
EA Play Pro is not redeemable as a Steam, Epic, PlayStation, or Xbox membership. If the issue concerns a membership billed through one of those platforms, EA directs users to that platform’s support for billing and account matters.

Can I use an EA Play Pro code on Steam?
No. EA Play Pro is available on PC through the EA app, not through Steam, Epic, PlayStation, or Xbox. If your goal is to use EA Play on one of those platforms, confirm that the code and membership are specifically for that platform; an EA Play Pro code is not interchangeable with a platform membership. EA also documents gift-card redemption separately from subscription-code redemption, so do not assume an EA gift card is an EA Play Pro code.
