Niantic’s Paldea announcement lists Candy as the requirement for this evolution; it does not list an extra item or special task.
Steps to evolve Floragato
- Open your Pokémon list.
- Select Floragato to open its summary page.
- Make sure you have at least 100 Sprigatito Candy. The summary page shows the Candy requirement.
- Tap Evolve to evolve Floragato into Meowscarada.
Niantic describes this evolution cost in its Paldea-region announcement. The standard evolution steps are also outlined in the Pokémon GO Help Center.
Which Candy do you need?
You need Sprigatito Candy, not Floragato Candy. Catching Pokémon of a particular species awards Candy for that species, according to Niantic’s evolution guidance.
How the evolution costs fit the family line
If you are starting with Sprigatito, Niantic lists the costs as follows:
#1 Best Overall
- 50+ Pokemon Cards
- 5 Holos Guaranteed minimium per order
- 1 GX, EX, V, VMax, Full Art, Tag Team, or Secret Rare
- Sprigatito → Floragato: 25 Sprigatito Candy.
- Floragato → Meowscarada: 100 Sprigatito Candy.
The 25-Candy cost applies only to the first evolution; it is not the cost to evolve an already-owned Floragato.
