There is no universal “helicopter key” mechanic; it depends on the game. If you mean the Exodus educational game, complete the monastery tasks and Library video first, collect the key on the roof, then return to the courtyard helicopter. If those locations or controls do not match your screen, check the game title: the phrase can refer to different items, and “Chopper key” in Dead Rising 2 is for a motorcycle.
Using the helicopter key in Exodus
The Exodus guide says the helicopter works when you have the key or have completed the level. For Game 1, the key is part of a sequence rather than an item to use on a separate lock.
- Complete the assigned monastery tasks.
- Go to the Library, watch the video, and receive the instructions.
- Head back toward the starting area. Climb the boxes and plank to reach the roof.
- Pick up the floating key by the door in the pink stucco area.
- Return to the helicopter in the main courtyard.
Take off, steer, and land
The Exodus guide gives these controls: “HOME key = Start/Up. END key = Stop/Down. ARROW keys = Left/Right/Up/Down.” Use HOME to accelerate or rise and the arrow keys to steer. To slow down and descend onto a helipad, use END together with the down arrow.
Find the required destination
Use the clipboard’s destination picture and match it to the image on the helicopter compass. Some destinations must be visited in order. A level change may be triggered by landing or by contacting the indicated sign, location, or object, so follow the clipboard instructions for the current objective.

| Game | What the key is reported to do | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Hitman 3, Dubai | A helicopter escape key is reported to be beneath the helipad. The route is described as using a ladder on the south side or approaching from the art-gallery maintenance terrace. | Confirm you are playing the Dubai mission and consult a walkthrough for that mission; the cited guide page was not available for direct review. |
| Panicore | A third-party walkthrough describes using a key on the helicopter’s side door after completing other escape preparations. | Check that the other escape steps are complete; the walkthrough page was not available for direct review. |
| Dead Rising 2 | “Chopper key” refers to a motorcycle, not a helicopter. A community forum answer places the vehicle at Yucatan Casino, displayed above slot machines. | Look for the motorcycle at the casino rather than searching for a helicopter. |
How to identify the right instructions
- Check the exact game title and level or mission.
- Look at whether the key unlocks an escape route or enables helicopter travel.
- Match the directions to your platform and the controls shown in your game; platform-specific Exodus control variations are not established by the guide.
- Prefer instructions for the same game and level. A key called “helicopter key” in one title may have no connection to the item in another.
