Recruit Mukumuku in Kyaro before meeting Nanami
- During the early visit to Kyaro, find the tree beside Genkaku’s Dojo.
- Examine the tree three times before meeting Nanami. Mukumuku should then join your party.
The timing matters: the tree method is only available before you meet Nanami. Gensopedia’s recruitment guide gives this condition and location.

If you missed the Kyaro tree
After meeting Nanami, travel the Greenhill-area route with an empty party slot and keep walking until Mukumuku joins. Gensopedia and Game8 specify the route between Greenhill and the Muse-Greenhill checkpoint. They describe a random encounter or join event, not a fixed interaction, so no particular number of steps or encounters is guaranteed.
PlayStation LifeStyle’s March 10, 2025 guide describes the fallback more broadly as the road between Two River and Greenhill. The Greenhill–Muse-Greenhill checkpoint route is the more specifically identified location in the other guides.
