How do you move the camera with a trackpad?
- Join a Roblox experience on your laptop.
- Place two fingers on the trackpad and swipe them together in the direction you want to look. This pans the camera up, down, left, or right on a supported system.
- Pinch two fingers together or apart to zoom out or in.
Roblox announced trackpad gestures for Mac on September 4, 2019, and for the Windows client on December 12, 2019. The Windows announcement cautions that hardware and drivers vary, so the gestures are not guaranteed to work on every laptop. How do you rotate the camera on a Roblox laptop?
A two-finger swipe pans the view, but if your trackpad does not recognize it, Roblox documents keyboard and mouse options for camera control. The available actions depend on the experience and its controls.

| Zoom in or out | Scroll the mouse wheel or press I or O. |
| Rotate the camera | Press the left or right arrow key. |

Why won’t my Roblox camera move with two fingers?
Check that the experience is active
If the gesture scrolls a page or interface instead of changing the view, make sure the Roblox experience window is active. Open its Help menu to see the keyboard shortcuts and mouse controls supported there.
Check whether the experience allows camera movement
An experience can constrain or lock the camera, so a working gesture may still have no effect. Roblox’s camera documentation describes Classic mode as allowing orbit and zoom unless zoom is locked; developer-set minimum and maximum zoom distances can also limit how far the view changes. Consider trackpad and driver compatibility
Roblox’s Windows announcement notes that trackpad hardware and drivers differ across systems. If the gesture is unavailable on your laptop, use the controls listed in the experience’s Help menu or try a mouse and keyboard.

No. Freecam is a separate creator and editing feature, not the ordinary camera control for a player moving through an experience. Roblox documents it for Studio playtesting and for experience owners or users with edit permission in the live client; the shortcut is Left Shift + P.
