How are combinations and recipes understood?
From a player’s perspective, a recipe is a pair of ingredients and the result the game returns. Community recipe guides record these ingredient/result relationships, making it possible to look up known combinations or trace a route toward an item. Those records explain how a guide can organize recipes; they do not establish how Infinite Craft’s live service is built or how it processes every pair.
Does Infinite Craft use AI?
The cited official game page and iOS listing do not confirm which AI model, if any, is currently used, nor do they describe the game’s prompt, hosting, caching, or first-discovery rules. A 2024 technical essay sketches one possible arrangement involving a front end, backend, recipe database, and language model, but its author describes it as a basic idea and notes that no creator technical write-up was available. It should not be treated as a verified account of the live game.

How many combinations are there?
Neal, the developer, says in the official App Store listing that “There are over 100 million different combinations in Infinite Craft.” The listing does not explain how that figure was counted, so it is best understood as the developer’s claim rather than an independently verified count.
