Plan on roughly 100–120 hours to earn all 50 achievements in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s base game, according to TrueAchievements’ community completion data. That estimate excludes DLC. “100%” can also mean finishing the story, clearing optional content, or completing expansions and post-launch activities; those are different targets and do not have one verified all-content playtime total.
How long for each kind of completion?
| Completion target | Estimated time | What the estimate covers |
|---|---|---|
| Main story | About 50–60 hours | Ubisoft’s approximate estimate; travel and supporting content can affect the time. |
| Main story plus optional content | About 70–100 hours by adding Ubisoft’s separate estimates | Ubisoft estimates 20–40 additional hours for optional content. This arithmetic is a planning range, not a separate official completion time. |
| Whole game, Ubisoft’s stated minimum | At least 80 hours | Ubisoft’s broad minimum for the sessions needed to play the whole game; it is not an exhaustive 100% cap. |
| All base-game achievements | About 100–120 hours | TrueAchievements’ estimate for earning all 50 base-game achievements, based on the modal completion time reported by 1,642 site members; DLC packs are excluded. The estimate and sample can change. |
Ubisoft’s figures come from its Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Parents’ Guide. The achievement estimate comes from TrueAchievements’ completion data. These numbers answer different questions, so do not add the 50–60-hour story estimate to the 100–120-hour achievement estimate.
Why “100%” can mean different things
There is no single standardized definition of 100% completion. The 100–120-hour figure is specifically for all base-game achievements, not for every item, activity, expansion, or post-launch addition. A player who means “finish the story and explore some optional content” is aiming at a smaller scope; a player who means every available activity is asking for a broader one.
- Story completion: Ubisoft’s estimate is about 50–60 hours, with time affected by travel and supporting content.
- Story plus optional content: Ubisoft puts optional content at another 20–40 hours, depending on what the player chooses to complete.
- Base-game achievement completion: TrueAchievements estimates 100–120 hours for all 50 base-game achievements.
- All content including DLC: no authoritative total is established by these estimates. Keep expansion and additional-mode time separate rather than treating the base-game achievement figure as inclusive.
How DLC changes the target
The base-game achievement estimate excludes DLC packs. Ubisoft’s Complete Edition listing says it includes the base game, Dawn of Ragnarök, the Season Pass, and the Berserker Pack. Edition contents and platform availability can vary by market, so check the current listing for the version you plan to play.

Ubisoft Help says Wrath of the Druids, The Siege of Paris, and Dawn of Ragnarök appear in the Quest tab after reaching Ravensthorpe and forming at least one alliance. A Fated Encounter has a different unlock condition: reach Ravensthorpe and upgrade the settlement to level 4. These are access requirements, not playtime estimates. If you want one practical target, use 100–120 hours for all base-game achievements. It is a community-reported estimate, not a promise or a controlled playthrough. Your total will depend on how much you travel, how much supporting content you complete, and whether your definition of 100% includes DLC. For an expansion-inclusive run, decide which packs and activities count before comparing times; the available figures do not support a single reliable all-content total.
