Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →You can get green dye without cactus by buying it from a wandering trader when the trader offers it, or by finding it in a desert village house chest. The trader’s reported offer is 3 green dye for 1 emerald; the chest is a chance, not a guaranteed find.
Buy green dye from a wandering trader
Check a wandering trader’s available offers and bring an emerald if green dye is listed. The Minecraft Wiki’s Green Dye reference reports an offer of 3 green dye for 1 emerald. The trader and this particular offer must be available, so this is not a guaranteed source.
Search desert village house chests
Green dye may appear as loot in a desert village house chest. The Minecraft Wiki reports a 14.3% chance of finding 1 green dye there in both Java and Bedrock Edition; the page’s returned information does not specify a game version. Treat the figure as a reported chance, not a promise that a chest will contain dye.
Sea pickles make lime dye, not green dye
Smelting a sea pickle produces lime dye, according to the Minecraft Wiki’s Lime Dye reference. Lime and green dye are different colors: the cited reference says lime dye can be made from green dye plus white dye, so sea pickles do not provide a way to make green dye from scratch.
