A completed direct transfer is credited instantly after you accept it and any required approval is complete. Robux earned from sales can stay pending until its holding period ends, while a gift is added automatically once gifted. Check My Transactions to identify the transaction and its status.
Incoming Robux timelines by transaction type
| How you receive Robux | When it reaches your balance | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Direct transfer | Instantly after the transfer is completed, including acceptance and any required approval. | Pending-transfer notification, Accept prompt, and any parent-approval prompt. |
| Experience Pass or virtual item sale | After the holding period ends; Roblox does not state its duration on its support page. | Pending Robux in My Transactions. |
| Resale of a Limited item | After the proceeds’ holding period ends; Roblox does not state its duration. | Pending status in My Transactions. |
| Gift | Automatically added to the recipient’s balance once gifted. | Notification that the gift was received. |
| Purchase delayed by an outage or maintenance | Roblox says these purchases are applied within an hour in most cases and within 24 hours at most. | Check whether the purchase has been applied; this estimate applies to service-related purchase delays, not transfers or sale proceeds. |
Direct transfers may need acceptance or approval
Roblox says the sender must have Roblox Plus, but the recipient does not need a subscription. The recipient receives a pending-transfer notification and must choose Accept. Once the transfer is completed, Roblox says the Robux is added to the recipient’s balance instantly. See Sending and Receiving Robux.
Age-related requirements can keep a transfer from completing. Recipients under 16 need a linked parent account and approval for each incoming transfer; some regions require parental approval for recipients under 18. If the age requirements are not completed within seven days, Roblox says the transfer is canceled and returned. Check the pending status and any acceptance or approval prompts before concluding the transfer is late.
Sale proceeds can remain pending
Experience Passes and virtual item sales
Robux earned from Experience Pass sales enters pending status, also called escrow, and becomes available after the holding period ends. Roblox does not specify how long that period lasts on its Experience Passes support page. The same practical caution applies to virtual item sales: do not assume an exact release date unless Roblox shows one for your transaction.

Limited item resales
After a Limited item sells, the proceeds are pending until the holding period ends. Roblox’s How to sell items page also says a purchased Limited item may need to be held for up to 30 days before it can be resold. That is the pre-resale holding period for the item, not a stated wait for sale proceeds to reach your balance.
Gifts are different from transfers and sale earnings
Roblox’s Gifting Robux support page says the recipient is notified and automatically sees the Robux added to their balance once the gift is made. At the time described on that page, gifting was available to select users in the United States on computer or web, subject to eligibility requirements for the gifter. Availability may change, so check Roblox’s current page if you do not see the gifting option.

How to check whether Robux is pending or missing
- Open your Robux balance and go to My Transactions.
- Use Summary to review incoming and outgoing activity.
- For pass or virtual item sales, open Sales of Goods to review sales activity; check Pending Robux for proceeds that have not cleared.
- For a transfer, check the notification and complete any Accept or parent-approval prompt. If the transaction is not listed or its status is unclear, use Roblox Support’s relevant transaction help page.
Why there is no single wait time
“Incoming Robux” can mean a transfer, a gift, earnings from a pass or item sale, resale proceeds, or a purchase delayed by a service issue. Roblox’s support pages give an instant credit time for completed transfers and a limited service-delay estimate for purchases, but do not publish a universal delivery time or a precise sale-earnings holding period. A general promise such as “3–7 days” is therefore not supported across all transaction types.

Do not use a Robux generator or a third-party service that claims it can release pending Robux. Roblox says generators do not exist and warns that such offers are scams. Roblox also says transfers are final, so send Robux only to people you know.
