Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

If you are unsure of the route, ask a city guard for directions where that option is available. The exact directions depend on your city and game version.
Find the Auction House in Stormwind
Stormwind’s Auction House is in Trader’s Hall, in the Trade District. Blizzard describes Trader’s Hall as the place to buy and sell items with other players. Blizzard’s Stormwind city tour identifies the location.
If you need help finding it, right-click a city guard and ask for directions. Blizzard’s Classic Stormwind guide says the destination is marked on the map with a red flag. That map-marker behavior is documented for Classic Stormwind; it should not be assumed to work identically in every version of WoW.
Find Auctioneers in Orgrimmar
Orgrimmar’s Auction House is in the city. Blizzard’s Orgrimmar city tour lists Auctioneers in both the central building and the Upper Tauren Encampment. Since Orgrimmar has multiple levels and areas, asking a guard for directions may be easier than trying to navigate by district name.

What about Valdrakken?
Blizzard’s Valdrakken city preview includes an Auction House and a separate Black Market Auction House in its list of services. It does not give an exact route to either, so use the in-game map or local directions rather than relying on an unverified building name or coordinate.
Choose directions for your game and city
The route depends on where your character is: the locations above cover Stormwind, Orgrimmar and Valdrakken, not every city or version of World of Warcraft. If you are playing a version other than Classic, check the map and available guard directions in that version rather than assuming Stormwind’s documented red-flag behavior applies.
