Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteSpecial Comms is a Prapor quest that requires you to stash a Military cable and a Bulbex cable cutter at two locations: a boulder beside RUAF Gate on Woods, then sandbags beside LAV III above the storage warehouse on Reserve. You must also use the Woods-to-Reserve transit during the raid.
What you need before starting
Bring the quest items from your in-game inventory: two Military cables and two Bulbex cable cutters according to the quest page’s initial-equipment listing. You will stash one of each on Woods and the remaining pair on Reserve. These are game items, not real-world equipment. The quest objectives and item listing are on the Official Escape from Tarkov Wiki quest page.
A current GameMaps guide reports that Special Comms unlocks at level 19 and is given by Prapor. Treat level 19 as that guide’s reported requirement, rather than independently verified live data: GameMaps quest guide.
How to complete Special Comms
- Stash the first pair on Woods. Find the boulder beside RUAF Gate and stash one Military cable and one Bulbex cable cutter there.
- Use the Woods-to-Reserve transit. The guide says the transit becomes available one minute after the raid starts. Wait until it is available, then use it; transit is a required objective, not an optional shortcut. See the quest guide’s location and transit details.
- Stash the second pair on Reserve. Go to the sandbags beside LAV III above the storage warehouse and stash the second Military cable and Bulbex cable cutter. The guide points to the warehouse-top area marked with the Cyrillic letter Д and references the Bunker Hermetic Door extraction landmark.
The landmarks are navigation cues, not a guarantee of a safe or enemy-free route. Check the active in-game task card if a patch changes an objective marker or location.

PvE and task-value differences
Published task listings disagree on PvE values: one result lists one of each stash item and different experience, reputation, and rouble rewards, while the general wiki lists two of each item and a different reward set. No authoritative current-build record resolves the discrepancy. Before entering a raid—especially in PvE—check the active task card for the required quantities and rewards. The conflicting PvE listing is at TarkovHead’s PvE Special Comms guide.
