Use the area checklists below to match each missing entry with its reported bait, time, weather, and season. You must catch entries yourself; traded fish do not count toward Bestiary completion percentage.
How do I reach and prepare for the Northern Expedition?
The Northern Expedition is reached through a portal in the southwest region of the map. The community location guide gives the portal coordinates as X: -1733, Y: 137, Z: 3820. As you climb, oxygen and temperature can fall, so plan for both before heading to a fishing area.
- Oxygen Tanks are available in four tiers.
- The Winter Cloak costs 7,500 C$ in-game and keeps your character warm indefinitely.
- Campsites provide campfires and oxygen refill stations.
- A Blizzard makes temperature decrease faster.
These are mechanics and equipment details reported by the community Northern Expedition guide; it is unofficial fan-made documentation, not official game documentation.
How should I use the fish checklist?
Open the in-game Bestiary to see which entries remain missing, then use the matching area checklist. Match the bait and any listed time, weather, and season conditions. In the tables, “Any” and “None” are the values reported by the community area pages; keep them as listed rather than assuming an unstated condition.

For a practical catch plan, start with the area and missing fish, then prioritize entries with narrower conditions—such as a specific time and clear weather—and prepare the corresponding bait. This is a way to organize the listed requirements, not a guarantee of faster catches.

What counts toward completion—and what does not?
The Bestiary page says a fish received through trade does not increase your completion percentage: you need to catch the entry yourself. It identifies the Aurora Bobber as the reward for reaching 100% of the entire Bestiary, not for completing only the Northern Expedition pages. The Destiny Rod is a separate broader-game milestone, reported as purchasable after at least 70% of the overall Bestiary.

Why might a listed fish seem unavailable?
The Northern Expedition was added in update 1.11.0 during Fischmas 2024. The location guide says Frigid Crab, Frigid Taco, Frigid Antlers, and Frigid Mammoth Tusk were unobtainable because of bugs in the original release, then became obtainable after update 1.12.0. If one of these or another listed entry still appears unavailable, check the live game and current community documentation: the relevant area and Bestiary pages are unofficial and can change.
