To get Garridan’s Tears, complete the Tears of the Savior quest: speak to S’d्रassa in the Leyawiin Mages Guild, follow his lead to Julienne Fanis, read Knightfall, and obtain Refined Frost Salts. Use the salts to enter Frostfire Glade, collect all five tears, then return them to S’drassa.
Start Tears of the Savior
- Speak to S’drassa in the Leyawiin Mages Guild and ask about Garridan’s Tears to begin the quest.
- Find Julienne Fanis at the Arcane University in the Imperial City. She directs you to Knightfall, which is sold at First Edition in the Market District.
- Buy and read Knightfall. Then return to Julienne and obtain Refined Frost Salts. These are the item the walkthrough identifies as necessary to open the way into Frostfire Glade; ordinary Frost Salts are not the specified quest item.
Enter Frostfire Glade
Travel to Frostfire Cave and make your way through it to the entrance to Frostfire Glade. Use the Refined Frost Salts at the entrance. The cave contains animals, while Frost Atronachs are found in the glade, so be prepared for encounters along the route. S’drassa may also provide frost-protection potions, but those are assistance rather than the access requirement.
Find all five Garridan’s Tears
In Frostfire Glade, search the frozen scene of Garridan and the Frost Atronach. Four tears are on the ground around Garridan. The fifth is on top of the central rock supporting the ice sculpture, on the side opposite the tree bridge.

Search carefully if a tear is hard to find
The tears are small and can be knocked out of position if you walk into them. Move slowly around the scene and check the surrounding ground and rocks, including the top of the central rock. Avoid area spells while searching, since they may displace a tear further.

A displaced tear can be difficult to locate, and the walkthrough reports that one can become trapped in ice. It does not establish a reliable fix that works across platforms, so there is no confirmed universal recovery method for a missing or stuck tear.

Once you have all five, return to S’drassa in the Leyawiin Mages Guild to complete the quest and receive the reward. The walkthrough describes a gold reward but does not establish a fixed amount.
