To evolve an Evo crop in Grow a Garden, plant an Evo seed, tend and grow the crop, harvest it when it is ready, then submit it to the Seed Stages event NPC. Each successful submission advances that seed to the next tier, from I through IV, and awards an item from that stage’s reward pool. The event was introduced on September 27, 2025, but its historical end date is reported inconsistently, so this guide does not assume the event is currently accessible.
Which crops can evolve?
Seed Stages introduced four special crop types: Evo Pumpkin, Evo Mushroom, Evo Beetroot, and Evo Blueberry. Each has four progression tiers, labeled I, II, III, and IV. The loop is the same for each: plant an Evo seed, grow and harvest its crop, and turn it in to the event NPC to advance its tier.

How to evolve an Evo crop
- Obtain and plant an Evo seed. Choose one of the four Evo crop types and plant its seed in your garden.
- Tend the growing crop. Guides describe Evo-specific plant health, growth rate, and size multiplier stats. They mention using produce or food to influence size or health, and watering cans or sprinklers to help growth. Exact thresholds and a guaranteed optimal method are not established.
- Harvest when it is ready. Once the crop is ready, collect it for the event turn-in.
- Submit the crop to the Seed Stages NPC. A submission advances the seed to the next tier and awards an item from that stage’s reward pool. Repeat the grow-harvest-submit loop for later tiers.
Some guides say mutations can carry over during progression, but describe this as a possibility rather than a guarantee. Do not plan around a mutation being preserved.
What rewards do the Seed Stages tiers give?
Each tier has its own pool of virtual gardening gear and other in-game items. Published lists are not consistent or complete, and the available sources do not establish drop probabilities. The examples below are therefore an overview, not an exhaustive or odds-ranked reward table.

| Tier | Reward examples |
|---|---|
| I | Small Toys, Basic Sprinklers, Reclaimers, Event Lanterns, Watering Cans, Harvest Tools, an Advanced Sprinkler, Normal Seed Packs, Common Eggs, and an Uncommon Egg. |
| II–IV | Published later-stage lists include Pet Leads, higher-level sprinklers, Pet Name Rerollers, fertilizers, seed packs, and rarer eggs. The sources do not establish a complete tier-by-tier allocation for these examples. |
These are rewards inside the game, not real-world garden supplies. Because pool listings vary, check the live game or an authoritative archive for the exact reward available at a particular tier.

Seed Stages arrived in the September 27, 2025 update. Sources disagree about when it ended: some list October 11, 2025, while Pocket Tactics lists October 4, 2025. Event references label it archived or completed, but the available sources do not confirm whether its mechanics remain accessible in the current game. Treat it as a historical event unless the live game shows the NPC or event content.
